just because i don't rate a share (at all), does not necessarily mean that i go short ...... though wish i had had the balls to do so with MPH, and rather longer ago, SEO
actually, i short but rarely and when i do, it's usually the indices

as usual cyn, as soon as u turn up as share price drops a lot and predict gloom, the opposite happens.
it doesnt matter whether its this share or one of the millions that u have an opinion on.
actually u dont really have opinions.........u just type meaningless words with no info on a particular company.
as for oxus, its a risky share but still prepared to hold and can use it as a tax loss if worse comes to worse......i aint that bothered.

for all that, it is surprising how often i call correctly .... for sure i make blunders too, but unlike you, i am man enough to own up to them ..... i am also reasonably good at biting the bullet and cutting losses .... are you?

i hold onto shares.....i just keep a portfolio.........i've sold a few shares but mainly kept majority of a lot of companies..........what thats got to do with u i dont know.......
and if u ever read other threads where u trash me, u will KNOW that i have losses (well not until i sell)............anyway who cares, its only money.....most of it goes to gov anyway no matter what i do

i only sell to make just under 9k each year..........i cant do much else cos it means i pay extra in cgt
i dont have time for monopoly.........i buy a share and and track it from week to week
unfortunately i made more than 20k last year

passive share investing is far from sensible .... that is not to say one should trade rather as i do, but certainly one should keep a weather eye and act accordingly, whether it is to take profits, cut losses or move to cash etc etc ..... a paper profit (or loss) is no profit until realised
