Monitise--mobile banking the way ahead (MONI)

moneyplus - 09 Oct 2007 10:51

I dismissed this company as froth when I first looked at it. Since then the sp has doubled and continues to steadily rise. I looked again and when I saw the countries and contracts this firm is in---I was impressed and bought some to tuck away. anyone else bought in or interested?

Sub 60p, I think I might be tempted back again.

HARRYCAT - 24 Jun 2014 14:44 - 414 of 682

My limit buy at 58p seems to have triggered......tried 57p but couldn't get any takers.

EDIT....Though should have waited ;o(

Monitise has acquired the business and assets of Markco Media Ltd, along with the entire issued share capital of Last Second Ticketing Ltd, which will instantly enhance Monitise's international mobile commerce network.

As part of this deal, Monitise has acquired the MyVoucherCodes.co.uk and Last Second Tickets brands.

The acquisition supports Monitise's strategic focus on becoming the enabling partner of choice amid the biggest shift in financial services and shopping in a generation, as brands turn to mobile.

It augments Monitise's Buy Anything mobile commerce product offerings by connecting to a global network of 60,000 brands and retailers, and accelerates Monitise's capabilities in line with the platform investment announced in March.

The initial consideration for the Acquisition is to be satisfied by the issue of 43,729,676 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, valued at £24.5m, based on the closing share price of 56.0p on 25 June 2014.

A further £2.5m of consideration held back for two years, payable in Ordinary Shares, and an earn-out consideration of up to an additional £28m payable in Ordinary Shares on the basis of retention and achievement of aggressive earn-out targets over two years.

The business, which is expected to be EBITDA profitable in 2015 on a standalone basis, recorded EBITDA losses on a pro forma basis of approximately £0.4 million in the financial year to 31 July 2013.

Monitise confirms it has acquired full ownership of PT AGIT Monitise Indonesia, its joint venture with PT Astra Graphia Information Technology (AGIT).

Under the deal, Monitise has paid a total consideration of 12,949,339 ordinary shares of 1p each in Monitise ("Ordinary Shares") to AGIT for the remaining 51% stake in AGIT Monitise Indonesia.

This values AGIT's stake in the joint venture at £7.3 million, based on Monitise's closing share price on Thursday 26 June 2014 of 56.75p.

The partnership with AGIT was entered into in July 2011 to develop new mobile services for financial institutions and mobile network operators targeted at both banked and unbanked consumers in Indonesia.

Monitise is currently working with PT Bank Permata Tbk (PermataBank) and BlackBerry within the market and launched live services in Indonesia in February 2013. AGIT remains a partner in the region for ongoing commercial activity. The acquisition follows Monitise taking full ownership of the Asia Pacific joint venture in October 2013.

What's your current view on these Harry?

I may have another look if they hit 50p.

HARRYCAT - 27 Jun 2014 08:50 - 418 of 682

So far I have always made money on these, but it is a trading stock imo, as the sp never seems to hold it's gains. Also my entry and exit points are always suspect, but am currently holding from 58p and will add if it gets to c50p.

Thanks Harry, the RSI says over sold, but the indicators are starting to look bearish.

Hmmmm....agree on that, but am hoping for a bounce back above the 200 DMA and will get out. If I make 10-15% that will do me this time.

jimmy b - 27 Jun 2014 09:04 - 421 of 682

Been good to me too over the months for in and out trades , however more dilution now another 56 million shares issued for acquisitions in the last couple of days.

Oh, oh! :o)

panto - 01 Jul 2014 08:58 - 429 of 682

Bought at 52.75p, strong order book from the start

a contrast from yesterday's close, the large drop yesterday was a bit of a bolt work being the last day of falls.

skinny - 01 Jul 2014 10:04 - 430 of 682

A small tick up on the RSI.
