On 3rd July PFC announced that it was trading well ahead of expectations. Not surprisingly, sp jumped but has now fallen back pretty much to the same level as before the announcement.
While perhaps not as exciting as finding the next Cairn, remember that in the goldrush days, it was rarely the prospectors who made the money, but rather the suppliers of the spades and tents and stuff - e.g. Levis if memory serves me aright.

No I didn't cynic, bit to volatile for me, spread on Caps quarterly over 8 pips :O) There are easier stocks to trade than this one, at the moment anyway.

RE - SEE and LEARN
Some have a lot to learn not only on charts, but others on their BIG MOUTH, not learning even when they are getting older.
The marked up this morning does not mean is on the way up again, the charting is for more pain before reached the bottom on this cycle.
At the moment there is support around the 38.2% fibonacci retracement as is normal for that to happen, the real support is about 1577p

As an aside chaps and not into charting methods myself except for support and resistance, what about market sentiment? and how do you factor that into the charting process? I'm just trying to see and to learn.

you silly little egocentric man - where did i ever make an observation as to what might happen with pfc in the short term? ..... did i ever disparage charts? - assuredly not ..... pfc will only get really interesting again once it breaks up firmly through whatever resistance you choose to pick out .....
now do us all a favour and crawl back into the primordial swamp where you belong

in truth, if you stuck to posting your charts and intelligent comment, your stuff would be quite interesting
however, to ask you to refrain from your continual barrage of singularly tiresome personal abuse is almost certainly akin to asking a skunk to smell of roses

as i posted above ..... try to refrain from the continuous stream of tiresome personal abuse, not least when it contains much barely-disguised anti-semitism - it actually says an awful lot about your own character ......
if people wish to accept your "pearls of wisdom" then that is their option, as is their right to reject them ...... since when was it your duty to preach as if every word was "absolute truth", when in fact it is no more than opinion based on certain premises?

and so? ...... in fact, i sold 2/3 of my holding this morning at 1604 for a very nice profit, and as a precaution against potential continuing market malaise
================
there is also of course, the argument that a well-performing share will continue to do so whereas one that "misbehaves" will also continue to do so
i suppose i have to add the really unnecessary caveat that no share or market goes in a given direction in a straight line for very long

i see the bottom target of 1577 was hit, so it'll be interesting to see if that does indeed produce the bounce ...... my uneducated reading was closer to 1550, but no matter either way, as the balance i hold was bought at 1486

i confess i bought back 1/2 of this morning's sell at 1580 and now keep my fingers x'ed that the market in general will bounce, which is likely to drag PFC along with it ..... sure as hell i wouldn't have dared short the stock at any point
