oh don't worry about friend hali; he really is an ok guy and no doubt thought i needed his protective arm round my shoulders :-) ...... generally speaking, this board is very well-mannered and good humoured, though inevitably some spite and idiocy (prob from me even!) occasionally creeps in

by the way, was i wrong with my recollection and/or interpretation of what went on in court?

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 15:08 - 4174 of 5505

btw cynic, i was curious because the court reporters made it sound like a slam dunk for gkp . it sounded too good to be true. just saw this post in another place........

- you can buy a copy of some excellent notes for 300$ or wait a month and do it through the court disclosure request for a transcript- then again all the rodneys on the board have got legal advice to show Excalibur didnt have a case - when errrr - dont envisage it being a clear cut decision - due to the multiples involved - perhaps even an appeal -

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 15:17 - 4175 of 5505

so i'm not such a dimwit after all!

27 April 2013 / KADİR UYSALOĞLU, LONDON
Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) High Representative to the United Kingdom, has said the KRG would consider establishing an independent state if a civil war erupts in Iraq and dictatorship rules the country.

In an interview with Today's Zaman, Rahman underlined that the KRG would separate from Iraq under two conditions: “First is a civil war. We would never be a party of a civil war. The second is Iraq's returning to old days of dictatorship because our people suffered a lot during dictatorships of the past. So, it would be more likely for us to separate from Iraq.

The leadership of Kurdistan frequently floats the idea of independence in case what they call Baghdad's “authoritarian practices” continue against Arbil. The armies of both sides have briefly clashed along the line of contact in several cities in the past few months and tensions are running high due to an oil pipeline Kurdistan is planning to build to Turkey. Otherwise, our commitment to a unified, democratic and federal Iraq would continue,” she said.

HARRYCAT - 01 May 2013 08:32 - 4183 of 5505

Yes, I think somewhere between 120 -130p would be about right. Don't see any point in buying over 130p though atm.

niceonecyril - 01 May 2013 09:02 - 4184 of 5505

Agreed Harry, some feel fund raising may be on the cards, which if so then perhaps lower?
Or the sale of AB would solve any cash issues?
The following gives hope on the political front, but i'll believe it when it happens.

cynic - 02 May 2013 08:09 - 4187 of 5505

niceonecyril - 02 May 2013 08:11 - 4188 of 5505

No great enthusiasm looking at the early trdes, thing is very little info not already out there? At least in a closed period,no placings etc.

niceonecyril - 02 May 2013 08:13 - 4189 of 5505

cynic,your being kind for once.

cynic - 02 May 2013 08:14 - 4190 of 5505

i see no real reason for pis to be pissed(!!) .... the company looks to have performed as promised
the political situation is out of their control, but of course that has significant impact on sp, as does the unresolved court action

niceonecyril - 02 May 2013 08:26 - 4191 of 5505

So the 10m shares just transferred (probaolly for tax reasons?)is ok,action which has thrashed the SP.
>

cynic - 02 May 2013 08:33 - 4192 of 5505

missed that .... tell me more .... transferred from whom to whom and for what alleged reason? .... if just moving domicile to avoid tax, then so what?
