Energy Technique - Will this be one of the next growth stock. (ETQ)

Legins - 02 Sep 2003 17:45

Could ETQ's share price be soon to benefit from their developments with the new UVGI Nightingale Mobile Air Filtration Product.

New UVGI air filtration product

In November 2002, the ETQ announced its new Nightingale UVGI air filtration product, to be produced by a new joint-venture company, UVGI Systems Limited, owned 55% by the Group and 45% by Suvair Limited. This rapid response mobile air filtration unit is capable of killing the MRSA super bug and other airborne pathogens.

The UVGI unit has widespread application where there is need to keep
air free of dangerous live bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores, including
hospitals, schools, cruise liners, aircraft, food processing, and military
applications.

The UVGI unit uses a high intensity Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation ('UVGI')
filter, which has been designed to control harmful and dangerous airborne
pathogens, such as Anthrax, Tuberculosis, and Staphylococcus aureus, the
causative agent in MRSA. The filtration system is combined with use of high
intensity Ultra Violet light, which inactivates micro organisms by disrupting
their DNA structure.

Tests of a prototype at the Defence Science Technology Laboratory ('Dstl') at
Porton Down, the centre for excellence for the Ministry of Defence, showed that
the UVGI unit captured and/or destroyed more than 99.9% of Bacillus subtilis
spores, a simulant for Anthrax bacteria.

Since November, second generation units have been developed, which will go on
applications testing at an NHS Trust Hospital in December 2003, following
building completion of its new haematology unit. It is also anticipated the
UVGI unit will shortly go on laboratory testing in the United States with
contractors nominated by the Department of Homeland Security.

Concern seems to be hotting up on the T.V. news that the MRSA super bug is still killing and disabling people visiting or as patients in NH Trust hospitals. It would be surprising if NH Trust hospital do not notice and Buy this product before they get to many expensive law suits for compensation claims.

Definitely a stock that could soon be heading north. Worth buying in but DYOR

Snip, your recommended stock HSD is down 70% in the last 3 trading days, if I had followed the same procedure as you and just look at the nice uptrend you were boasting about a day before the slide I would have been looking at a hefty loss. Now your recommendation HSD has to be the biggest ramp of the decade, no updates on newsflow or anything, just fancy charts. Now you say you sold out at a profit, why not post that on the HSD thread. I always when I buy and sell giving reasons. I suppose the 200 pence in a matter of weeks is for the bin men to collect now.

oh dear we are clutching at straws here

unfortunately that last tick did not take the graph over the 10MA and a downtrend line is still very much in place. Then again only 115k shares were bought today at an approx cost of 8050. I recollect you saying that you have a lot more shares than that. So keep clutching

SueHelen - 24 Aug 2004 17:09 - 424 of 497

No Snip, it's you who's been clutching straws here since 27 July 2004. One month on and I'm still waiting for the price to fall. Please remind yourself of that.

and in the meantime is your money making money?

I would be grateful if the two bickering children on this board would stop

Stop competing for best/ worst ramper/investor/slanger

Keep posting your opinions and let the other readers make their opinions on the basis of your history and the level of your information in our own opinion

I make no judgement in my post and show no bias but this board has not been and nor would I want it to become a cheap slanging match like too many others

It has been civilised and informative for a long time and I would hope it can stay that way.

May I be so bold as to offer a cease fire so we can concentrate on the company's prospects rather than our personnal investment abilities.

I do not put words into others mouths(fingers?) but i feel there may be support for my views in this matter

thankyou

GN

New Market Maker joins today :

Jefferies Intl Ld (JEFF)

New market maker JEFF on board today. 5 Market Makers in ETQ now.
A new MM on board is good news, maybe because of more investor interest will be coming in the distant future, I think the price has consolidated well here, we have to wait for news to move pass the golden 6.5 pence mark now. Yes the price has not been doing much for the last 2 1/2 weeks but its the first time looking at the chart of ETQ that the price has not really been falling as well in the absence of news and has hold onto its gains from its lows of 5 pence (buying price of 5.00 pence). As always keep an eye on the offer price.

As often happens a share price is moved by hype & not by profits.

The floor standing units only protect 1 room & are too expensive see link

http://www.moneyam.com/InvestorsRoom/ShowPostList?fID=1&tID=1108&from=38&to=38

ETQ is an ordinary, unexciting air conditioning company & UVGI is an infinitesimally small part of their business because it has hardly started yet.

The floor standing units are not where the profits are going to come from because they are not cost effective.

IF ETQ wins contracts to fit UVGI aircon systems to whole buildings then they will make BIG MONEY but I see no evidence that they are making progress on this.

The lack of decent profits & the issuing of new shares are the reasons it has fallen from the previous spikes of 28p & 15p.

Comments have been made on this thread about UVGI being a solution to MRSA but it isn't.

MRSA is mostly spread by physical contact so handwashing is the most effective way to prevent the spread because obviously no air treatment system is going to clean people's hands for them.

Many people carry MRSA in their throats & so they get it on their hands when they touch their lips.
They touch doorhandles & pass it on to other people who touch the handles so hospital cleaning is the next most effective way (after handwashing) to prevent the spread.

Very few people cough over an open wound & UVGI is not going to stop them.

UVGI can help with airborne viruses & bacteria sooooooooooooo IF ETQ wins contracts to fit UVGI aircon systems to whole buildings then the share price will rocket & over react & some of that rise will be sustainable.

BUT will it ever happen?

So far all we have got is hype on message boards with no evidence that big profits will emerge this year or next year & the current aircon business which at the moment is the business looks a little shaky judging by their track record.

I suppose that we will get more spikes each time there is some news & you might make a profit out of a spike if your timing is just right but as usual someone else will lose by buying at a high part of that spike.

I suggest that the real purpose of the floor standing units is to demonstrate the technology so that ETQ can win big contracts to fit UVGI aircon systems to whole buildings this is the key thing to look out for. If I see evidence of this then I will buy but so far I haven't.

Even if it does happen, don't expect the profits to be delivered this year or next.

its all gone quiet at the back

SueHelen - 25 Aug 2004 17:46 - 432 of 497

Has it, I wouldn't think so especially with the new MM on board today. NHS Presentations are only a week away now (next Wednesday).

theres a familiar feeling beginning in my head.....

and its not one I am particularly fond of....

unfortunately it seems to be the one I am more frequented by.

we seem to be in a historic pattern, waiting to break out, strong rise gentle drift down.
