Jubilee Platinum (JLP)

Sooner44 - 15 Apr 2005 08:31

Any holders out there - there's some buying going on.....

marni - 13 Jul 2009 15:39 - 431 of 798

shut up then till it gets there!

marni - 13 Jul 2009 15:41 - 432 of 798

i see u aint on other threads where u got things so badly wrong with your predictions .......i wont mention the threads again to save your extreme embarassment as u must have lost lot of money

cynic - 13 Jul 2009 15:45 - 433 of 798

sorry to be dull, but i really do not see the great attraction of JLP even if they manage to acquire that other dog (BRR) for little more than a spit .... for sure if the plat price picks up, JLP may well follow suit, but that is unlikely to happen until we see car sales also on the increase, and that is likley to be a good while off

ptholden - 13 Jul 2009 16:02 - 434 of 798

Friend of mine owns a Ford franchise, first five months of 2009 have seen outstanding sales of new cars(very few related to the Govt scrap scheme).

marni - 13 Jul 2009 16:28 - 435 of 798

people trade in cars regularly too so with scrappaGE scheme, new car sales will rise as already hapening........dont agree cynic with your long prediction in future with cars.....also more people in country just like usa, oz etc and more people means more cars.

cynic - 13 Jul 2009 16:35 - 436 of 798

Chrysler, GM etc in USA don't seem to have your optimism, and that is where most cars are built/sold, though I guess Tata in India are now catching up fast

marni - 13 Jul 2009 16:40 - 437 of 798

china to have 700% increase in cars by 2020 by all accounts......their population a litle bigger than uk! and stupid usa

Balerboy - 13 Jul 2009 16:56 - 438 of 798

The total sales figure for June is 15.7% down on the same month last year. Scrappage ends October here.
About 85% of cars bought in the UK are imported, while a similar proportion of cars built in the country are sold overseas. Germany, the largest market for the UK, is offering a much more generous scrappage scheme but this will terminate at the end of the year. A French scheme will also expire later this year.

HARRYCAT - 13 Jul 2009 18:56 - 439 of 798

'Cash for clunkers' scheme due to be announced in the U.S. on 23rd July. Anticipated 250,000 vehicles will be scrapped.

hlyeo98 - 13 Jul 2009 19:58 - 440 of 798

Marni, r u for real? Majority of China's population are still going on bicycle.

Unless u consider adding some platinum into their spokes. LMAO!

cynic - 13 Jul 2009 20:11 - 441 of 798

all that apart, are there not better platinum plays than this rather flakey outfit?

ptholden - 13 Jul 2009 21:37 - 442 of 798

Dunno, do some research yer lazy git!

cynic - 13 Jul 2009 22:01 - 443 of 798

it was rhetoric .... not a mineral that interests me hugely .... surely Impala would be a good place to start

ptholden - 13 Jul 2009 23:15 - 444 of 798

Rhetorical huh? Never would have guessed :)

marni - 14 Jul 2009 00:10 - 445 of 798

i said by 2020 hi leo in case u cant read. maybe u r too busy with your bicycle in china to notice facts.

agree pt.........cynic if u dont know about company, do some research otherwise comments are pointless.

cynic - 14 Jul 2009 07:05 - 446 of 798

like the man said, if i was buying into platinum, i would go for some quality as in Impala ..... what car sales may or may not be in 10 years time in china is irrelevant ..... it's a crystal ball for the next 10 months that is needed

chessplayer - 14 Jul 2009 08:22 - 447 of 798

What a touchy lot you are Get serious and cut out the back biting!

cynic - 14 Jul 2009 08:53 - 448 of 798

pth isn't .... we know each other quite well!
marni certainly gets a bit menopausal at times, but rarely anything dramatic

ptholden - 14 Jul 2009 10:04 - 449 of 798

Me backbiting? Nah, just teasing the old duffer :)

chessplayer - 14 Jul 2009 11:35 - 450 of 798

Looks like the downturn in mining prices may be about to turn on a dime,or perhaps more to the point, a "nickel". Gold prices are up nearly $20 over the last day or so,and others look to be on the up as well.
