Nobody so far knows anything for sure...it looks like an oi land gas discovery has been made but like you say is it commercial ?.....if it's small : it might need to be tied in with something else in the region.....that's possible....happens all over the world and I think that's what they are doing off the coast of Ireland now.....

Its very possible that Her Majesties Government has requested to BOR and the LSE that no news is released until they have come up with their contingency plans.
This is a highly sensitive issue and a bumper oil find will not go down well with CFK and her sponsors in Argie land. A major oil find now could effect certain aspects of National Security.
This may explain the complete lack of any RNS at the moment - once the Foreign Office has come up with its action plan and the military planning for heightened security status is in effect - then BOR might release an RNS - they could have requested that BOR "take their time" with logging and "don't worry about the LSE, we will have a word" - allowing a few days to get all their ducks in a row before a blockbuster RNS is released.
:) That would be a nice thought.

Its encouraging Morani has said a big yes to The Sun story.
Morani, in case you do not know, is actually in the Falklands and is a no BS person. Their posting history is impeccable and they were the first to post about the delays at Darwin.
Thats a big thumbs up for The Sun, which had a big thumbs up for Darwin......... we shall see in due course.

To be honest it must be commercial or the company would have been quick to issue an RNS to dampen down the share price ........

It will be astounding if the above is correct......I reckon more news or leaks will filter out now.....

As some one pointed out it take seconds to interpret little or no oil but much longer to assess a fully commercial find

MM's will want to clear their books for the weekend, which means they have to knock out the shorters with high spikes and knock out the longs they can with sharp treeshakes to ensure they have a balanced book going into Monday morning.
Will be volatile - but the main thing is its all designed to get you to sell your positions.

Danger is that we might have a 150p spike on BOR if a positive leak filters out from a reliable source !.

If this was the second well I would agree >> But its the first ! a negative RNS would have positive spin about spudding the next well ...... still what the F*** do I know....... Just going to have to wait

And The Sun were spot on with the RKH CPR, it was promised for Easter and its late coming out well after Easter and its figures are lower than most expected.
Sun spot on there, and hopefully they will be with BOR - Morani says the story is good and its spot on - thats a big vote of confidence.
Monday morning RNS is very likely, as I posted on Sunday 15th.

RKH P50 of Sea Lion for recoverable barrels was 170 million pre-drill. Its now ended up as 350 million.
If you put the same factor to Darwin, pre-drill is presently 760 million recoverable barrels, but potentially after appraisal P50 could be 1.56 billion recoverable barrels.
Interesting.

Everyone would do well to remember the North Falklands Basin is all about deposition by rivers/lakes. Owing to this sands are thin and multiple with lots of fresh water around. Complex to develop as it requires lots of wells and so more expensive. This is why NFB prospects are small in comparison to the South.
The South Falklands Basin is a marine deposition environment (sea), so sands should be thick. I am hoping for very good and very thick sands at Darwin - will be a good boost to the campaign. The South Falklands is all about "mega" prospects, really big.
