Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Hays when youve made as much money as I have out of stocks you will be entittled to a silly opinion like that above.

Until that day comes and believe me it wont, you should stick to slagging off political points up above on the Talk To Yourself thread or at least give some sort of anylisis here as to why or what your reasoning is for these being over hyped.

cynic - 13 Jul 2013 14:26 - 4572 of 6187

Well Citigroup are BLNX's own brokers. You are surely not so gullible as to rely on their predictions.

I don't recall a house broker ever saying SELL!

Reading brokers just makes you happier that you have made the right choice. There have been large numbers of companies, especially in the tech area, that have had unanimous praise from brokers before they went belly up. In the tech area brokers seem to be blindsided with the technology and don't see the business.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 16:17 - 4577 of 6187

Absolute tosh Hays.

A analyst stands by his decisions knowing quite well more than his fair share of bad calls will end with his company asking for his resignation not only that but also the cheif analysts resignation aswel or pressure put upon his superior.

A house broker wont place sell on one of its clients stock you are right about that but what they will do is place a neutral rating or pending rating on the stock.

Have you ever been employed by a broker Hays?.

cynic - 13 Jul 2013 16:25 - 4578 of 6187

i've employed a bankruptcy practitioner ...... isn't that pretty much the same thing?

Haystack - 13 Jul 2013 17:07 - 4579 of 6187

After more than forty years of investing, I never trust any broker forecasts. I doubt that any analysts were fired when the tech bubble burst. Perhaps some remember companies such as Dialog (dial a dog) which was still being heavily recommended the day before it went bust.

Gausie - 13 Jul 2013 19:13 - 4580 of 6187

I once wrote an analysis of Torex (now long gone) on ADVFN that was cut, pasted and published the next day by a big city firm as a brokers note. That episode amply illustrated the depth of research you can expect from some of the published brokers notes.

Haystack - 13 Jul 2013 20:10 - 4581 of 6187

I could tell you an even worse story about a well known analyst at a major broker who gave rcomnendations on TV that he got emailed from a BB poster, but I had better not tell you any more.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 21:32 - 4582 of 6187

Tosh tosh tosh Hays.

Like any occupation you get good and bad.

I worked for Barclays Capital and Shore Capital and can tell you this an analyst lived by his calls.

I worked on, the resources side in Management Accountancy but saw and was well aware what pressure the analyst side was under.

Your just using the same ignorant myths that are passed around by private investors on bulletin boards about the industry.

Do I tell you/question you how to sell Alcohol, of course I dont as Ive never been in that trade like you and your family.

Stop using deramping tactics like this. Instead put up your case why BLNX is a sell and then we can have an adult debate and discuss the real issues....... not idle gossip.

Go to the balance sheet and accounts Hays and Ill kick your idle ass.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 21:36 - 4583 of 6187

Hays your post 4581. That BB poster wasnt from Northampton was he.

Was he a goodfella.?.

Haystack - 13 Jul 2013 21:38 - 4584 of 6187

You would never guess who it was. He is not known at all. I do know goodfella though and it wasn't him.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 21:55 - 4585 of 6187

Good pal of mine goodfella havent seen him for about 18 months , any idea whats hes presently doing????????.

Haystack - 15 Jul 2013 22:21 - 4588 of 6187

Has anyone use Blinkx.com? I just tried to find a video that I know is on YouTube as I put it there. I tried searching for it several different ways including entering the full exact title of the video. It never found it. It claims to find videos on YouTube. I searched for it on plain vanilla google and it was the first item found. I tried using it when it started and it doesn't appear to have improved at all.

robstuff - 16 Jul 2013 18:56 - 4589 of 6187

Another tick upwards, nice and steady. It's going to be £4 plus next yr so fill your boots.
