Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

RNS after the close last night declaring that GLG partners had acquired more than a 5 percent stake in Rockhopper, the omens look very positive. GLG is an American hedge fund which is now part of Man Group.

When they start drilling, that'll bring the sp back to the 270's+

Upon completion of operations on the Ninky well, the Ocean Guardian drilling rig will return to Rockhopper.
Rockhopper will drill a minimum of 3 additional wells using the Ocean Guardian drilling unit. Rockhoppers next
well is planned to be located near to the 14/10-2 discovery well. Specialist flow test equipment is due to be in the
Islands in early May and Rockhopper intends to flow test the well if appropriate using this equipment to obtain a
greater understanding than was possible during the test of well 14/10-2.

if you're lucky, there'll be some support at 220, but i wouldn't bank on it ...... i have already bitten the bullet and taken a very tiresome loss, but reckon the bottom has yet to be reached

though it is hard to believe that sealion is the only decent if limited reservoir, to date no one has found better than dehydrated camel bones elsewhere

Balerboy - 18 Apr 2011 15:56 - 4632 of 6294

you may be right but have taken small punt at 234 as there might be a small bounce tomorrow to be had. Personally i would be surprised if it dropped below 230p.,.

halifax - 18 Apr 2011 15:59 - 4633 of 6294

cynic - 18 Apr 2011 16:00 - 4634 of 6294

Balerboy - 18 Apr 2011 16:32 - 4639 of 6294

markymar - 23 Apr 2011 09:02 - 4642 of 6294

just catching up after getting back cynic, would be good to get some news next week when markets open again, looks like you have a lovely day down there today,i seem to have a big cloud following me at mo and cant shake it off.

cynic - 23 Apr 2011 09:06 - 4643 of 6294

good job it's not me dogging you then! ..... confess i am out of all falkland stocks for now, even though it meant some bullet-biting on RKH .... with regards to XEL, i just hope they issue the CPR first thing tuesday, as these continued delays are unsettling for market sentiment, not least because bad news tends top take longer to publish than good

Balerboy - 23 Apr 2011 15:42 - 4644 of 6294

Agree with you there Cobber!!!

This bunch of abusive retards is the reason MoneyAM will NEVER have a forum worth reading.

I have reported them to support by they do nothing, either because they want to force me to PAY them for the Traders Room or because they are too lazy to do anything. Maybe the people in support are the ones perpetrating the abuse, so as to force people to pay for the premium boards. Either way the service is sh1te and a disgrace to the finance industry. No wonder there is nobody left here apart from morons.

I will continue posting my good research on boards that are run in accordance with FSA and LSE listing rules and the interests of the market, not here where ar5eh0les rule the boards and all decent research is buried under their piles of sh1te.
