NIGHTHAWK 6 BAGGER ON DEBUT. (HAWK)

oilyrag - 12 Mar 2007 07:10

Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.

As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

as no news, strongly suspect today's surge is merely MMs trying to force some short closing

gnashlevel2 - 15 Aug 2008 15:10 - 471 of 1373

well cynic, doesn't look that way to me, so another addition just made.

Looks like this is going the other way for the time being, fingers crossed.

cynic - 15 Aug 2008 16:13 - 472 of 1373

i hold by what i wrote .... sp has just dropped back to 69.5 from 72.5

gnashlevel2 - 18 Aug 2008 13:45 - 473 of 1373

cynic, I would have lost a lot if I listened, but thanks anyway ;-)

cynic - 18 Aug 2008 13:54 - 474 of 1373

lost or just made less? ...... i am happy that i sold half at 70 (at a profit), but remain puzzld as to quite why there should be any (such) excitement

gnashlevel2 - 18 Aug 2008 14:12 - 475 of 1373

thats why you're cynic by name, cynic by nature? ;-)

cynic - 18 Aug 2008 16:26 - 476 of 1373

even i am beginning to think that something must be afoot with sp up another 6p today

silvermede - 18 Aug 2008 17:39 - 477 of 1373

looks like a definite breakout - still holding!

gnashlevel2 - 18 Aug 2008 21:29 - 478 of 1373

there has been talk something really significant is upcoming, but can't make out if this is in terms of land acquisition or a standalone hydrocarbon discovery. Also talk of much earlier exit sale for the company than people expected. Haven't been watching the boards closely as I should of late, so just have to wait and see, but glad to be topping up recently at 63p . Defo looks to be coming back into favour again

Press on Fri (Express)/Sat (FT) had oneliners on speculation of positive drilling results in next 2 weeks

No actual production information, last year t/o was 65k lets hope this years results due at the end of september will justify the market cap.

silvermede - 21 Aug 2008 15:49 - 482 of 1373

Don't forget they have increased there land assets considerably

halifax - 21 Aug 2008 15:51 - 483 of 1373

Nighthawk Energy says pleased with results to-date from Jolly Ranch
AFX

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Nighthawk Energy Plc. said it is pleased with the results to-date from the Jolly Ranch project in Colorado.

Three wells, the Jolly 2-1, Jolly 16-1 and Craig 8-1, have been drilled to date, casing has been set and the wells are considered to be producers, the U.S. focused hydrocarbon production and development company said.

Commenting on results from Jolly Ranch, managing director David Bramhill said: 'There is still work to be done, however, indications are that Nighthawk has within its portfolio a project that if successfully developed will establish the company and Running Foxes into significant producers and leaseholders in the region.'

latest RNS looks nothing but excellent news, so sp perversely but typically gets clobbered by about 12%! ...... have i missed something, or is HAWK now a genuine bargain?

Nighthawk Energy says Waterflood operations now bearing fruit
AFX

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Nighthawk Energy Plc. said its Waterflood operations, namely the Buchanan Group projects, and the Devon Oilfield project and the Xenia development project are now bearing fruit.

In a statement, the U.S.-focused hydrocarbon production and development company said its expectations are high for the recently acquired Xenia project, located in Kansas.

Nighthawk has acquired a 50 percent working interest in the Xenia project from Running Foxes and development is now underway.

'Continuing drilling success at our Kansas and Missouri based projects should increase our reserve base considerably,' said managing director David Bramhill.

The company added that the U.S. refining demand remains robust and it expects these projects to provide significant and growing long term cash flow.
