Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Sequestor,
Same on another site. Prices only just clicked up correct re bid/ask. Probably the computer system in the stock exchange got as exited as we did, and could not keep up.

not so exciting greekman, troublre with these AIM stocks is how much good news ha been built into the prce already, and how much through leaks over the waiting for news.
Not exactly a bonanza this morning, and what bit there is is fading fast.

Stick with it - I'm not baling out. Reckon the sp has a long way to go yet but don't expect it all to happen overnight

Apologies for always being negative about the market but it does fit in with the idea that in this bear market, good news will have little effect on the sp but bad news will hammer the sp (WLF).
It's about prices being pushed to their lowest common denominator. Of course 6 mnths/1 yr ago then the sp would probably have risen 20+%

marky - does the above therefore caste some doubt on the published result? .... certainly reads that way

RF,
Just what I was thinking.
Who knows, but if they keep drilling further and further from the initial drill and continue to discover oil linked to that initial drill, I wonder just how big this field is.
If it gets much bigger it could incorporate all the other fields for miles around.
Best (dream) sinario.............field extends up to the shoreline of the capital of the Falkland Islands themselves.
As I said, 'We can but dream'!

Been slowly getting out of the market recently mainly due to the way I see the market going (not sold any RKH shares though).
But sometimes if you see what looks like a bargain, IE Rockhopper shares now 40% cheaper than when the first Sealion drill results first came in you just have to buy.
In the ten years that I have been a serious investor, I have never seen a share price go so contradictory against the flow (pun intended) of evidence.
To say I am gob smacked at todays current sp, is an understatement in the extreme.

5000 and 9000 b/per day and it is priced down on the day.....difficult to believe; to me it only shows that the market is lacking cash flow....it is unbelievable on such an outstanding result !.
