Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Just wondering who has lost most.... Tabasco or you Hays?.

Bet your kicking yourself you werent short Hays ehhhh.

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2014 12:32 - 4888 of 6187

Bloody hell thats gambling Cyners. What happens if a RNS comes out saying contracts lost.

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2014 12:34 - 4889 of 6187

Yep well done Gausie you had the balls to go against the crowd.

cynic - 30 Jan 2014 12:34 - 4890 of 6187

certainly the deafening silence is hardly encouraging

===========

book balance changed so banked a piddly profit (+4.25) arguably a bit earlier, but as you said sticky, all very scary

Gausie - 30 Jan 2014 12:43 - 4891 of 6187

Now selling again in (small tranches). (106/107 ish)

chessplayer - 30 Jan 2014 12:46 - 4892 of 6187

Cynic, your buying at 98 sounds a good move. I sold my holding a while back at 225. One of my better decisions.

Haystack - 30 Jan 2014 12:47 - 4893 of 6187

cynic
Providing that there is no hidden reason for this fall, I would expect you will make money on your buy. If there is no specific reason for the fall, It should rise gain fairly quickly. I still don't like the business model long term, but that will take some time to pan out.

Gausie - 30 Jan 2014 12:48 - 4894 of 6187

Cynic, hope you're planning on taking profits during this bounce. I may have called the fall early a couple of times, but im now in familiar trading territory. There really is a lot further for blnx to fall.

cynic - 30 Jan 2014 12:49 - 4895 of 6187

there's certainly a bit of bear closing going on, but if there is any strength in the story, then sp could be almost anything

it is certainly worrying that there is no robust response from the management - or indeed, any response at all

chessplayer - 30 Jan 2014 12:50 - 4896 of 6187

You're already up 13 points Cynic. Good start

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2014 12:55 - 4897 of 6187

Providing that there is no hidden reason for this fall.......ends

no hidden reason???????? my god someone should be strung up by the balls then if this is just speculation.

Including Blnx management.

cynic - 30 Jan 2014 12:59 - 4898 of 6187

no chess; i chickened out with +4.5p ..... pullet would be more apt :-)

Gausie - 30 Jan 2014 13:03 - 4899 of 6187

Now selling bigger tranches again

chessplayer - 30 Jan 2014 13:04 - 4900 of 6187

At times like this, it isn't easy to keep a grasp on reality. But this is certainly no stock for the faint hearted. The current market conditions obviously have much to do with that.

Shortie - 30 Jan 2014 13:05 - 4901 of 6187

Thought Tabasco would have posted something by now.. The low looks like 85p, not far off.. At 112 however this is still trading on a PE of 36... Whatever news comes out is going to need to be earnings defensive otherwise south it'll go.

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2014 13:07 - 4902 of 6187

Yep but not 50% plus CP on no news.

I smell a rat here in the market.

cynic - 30 Jan 2014 13:07 - 4903 of 6187

have now lightened my main holding by 1/3 at ~113
bit of a nasty loss, but if the story has legs, then i'm well out, and if it's a load of bollocks, then sp won't recover 65p in one hit either, so i now have some margin to play with

Shortie - 30 Jan 2014 13:10 - 4904 of 6187

Couldn't short 115 GF, CityIndex said only long positions.. That tells me everything...

cynic - 30 Jan 2014 13:14 - 4905 of 6187

saved you some money then as now 119 offer :-)

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2014 13:15 - 4906 of 6187

Nobody will trust this lot anymore, I certainly wouldnt.

I removed it from my watch list within 30 mins of market opening. I always do with bummer shares, that way you dont fight natural instinct on trying to get even, you just move on and forget.

I never blame the market, I blame myself and so it should be. Live and learn.

Having said that I find extreme situations like this very interesting.

Just what are the company going to come up with????
