don't suppose they will make good reading, and would guess that outlook is still pretty tough, not least because Aramco continue to jerk everyone around

Always thought AMEC may try to get in rather than PFC. Think i'll buy today if they approach 125p area, too low too long and recovery could be imminent.

you may be right, but PFC are pretty much LAM's neighbours in UAE and are certainly quite aggressive.
to be honest, i wouldn't turn my nose up at anyone who put in a decent offer, but would hope that LAM could come good in the reasonably near future in their own right

This seems to be on the way up again now, just needs to get away from that 120 hurdle.

have just banked profit in 65% of holding ..... LAM figures are out on wednesday, and since their last trading update, i have seen nothing that makes me think they will be other than pretty bleak.
lots of peeps have jumped in here today on the back of PFC's stunning results, but i reckon they'll be falling over themselves to cash in just after the figures - as they were with PFC first thing this morning.
at that juncture i may well but back in

i have not changed my mind in that i still believe LAM's intrinsically a damn good company and, looking 6/12 months ahead, in a good sector ...... i just feel the whole market has got far too frothy, wanted to take some money off the table anyway, and being an active trader, reckon i'll be able to buy back quite a bit cheaper on wednesday if the spirit so moves me

LAM are doing well by these numbers, eps about 20-25p, I dont know what multiples amec/p'fac etc are on but at this lam should be 300p min!

i am sure there is someone on this bb who can do the proper calculation as to LAM's current p/e and other relevant figures

I only quote from their numbers! 15cents/share for first 6months, I assume thats about 10-12p, x2 =24p, they have $90m in the bank, $400m orders on the book and $30m profits. This company is in one hell of a state lol. pe/5.

Latest PE figure is 4.8, with forecast rise to 7.9, but forecast revenue & EPS figures heavily in to the minus range. Not surprising in the current economic climate.

eps and forecast are not minus, they are less than same time year last year but still highly profitable and a substantial order book, have you looked at the numbers?
