THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Al, if you say it out loud, it's a speech impediment.

Actually FX speculation is the one thing with which I would not have a clue how to get started. I'd feel more confident betting on whether it's going to rain on my next birthday.

So, Bos, if you manage to unlock the secrets of successful FX trading and care to share them, I shall be hanging on your every word.

I binary bet with IG Index , have bet on the Dow or FTSE to finish up or down at the end of the day ,but seem to lose as much as i gain so now i stick to Boxing where i regularly take them to the cleaners ,,they often have fighters as favourites who should be underdogs ,i have spoken to the oddsmaker and he's no expert ...

bosley - 29 Jul 2006 21:52 - 4931 of 81564

soul, it's a piece of piss. you bet whether it's going to go up or down. that's it!!! i mean, just how feckin' easy d'ya want it? gawd, it's just so easy ..... not difficult at all ........ eeezzzeeee peeeezzzeeee........truly simple. there's a small group of us getting into it and we are all creaming it 'cos it's soooo easy. if you don't believe me , ask pete just how feckin' easy it is ;))

welcome back, driver. how was scotland?
i once had a fantastic new years eve in edinburgh. left the bars at 11pm and had a wander around. it was absolutely superb, so much going on, outdoor gigs, samba bands, policemen standing there while drunken women queued up to snog them. i asked one if i could borrow his yellow jacket. he told me to f*ck off before playing tonsil tennis with the next girl!!! up the troon for midnight. probably the best new years eve i've had ;)

Bos
Scotland was excellent 28c on Edinburghs, beach; yes they do have a beach. Anyone who hasnt been to Edinburgh should try a long weekend I might be doing the New Year there this year.

I went for the fringe festival once, but there wasn't a hairdresser to be seen. Very disappointing.

Sad to see the passing of TOTP.
I don't think i'll ever forget Chris Eubank presenting it and having to say;
"Tonight a very thpecial thinger and a very thpecial thong. Thuggths thinging thethilia".
that and Jocky Wilson. Wonderful memories.

jimmy b - 31 Jul 2006 22:41 - 4940 of 81564

Wasn't what it was though Al , back in the old days bands could actually play ,or maybe i just have a selective memory , i choose to forget the Wombels and the Bay City Rollers ,and remember the likes of Free ,and Led Zep ,and back then they wanted to appear on TOTP ,they would'nt now .

bosley - 31 Jul 2006 22:48 - 4941 of 81564

before baywatch there was pans people. get the tissues ready ;))

my lasting memory has to be seeing my favourite bands on the show and laughing at my dad for saying things like, "what's this shite?" and "this isn't music" !! pretty much what i say now when i'm watching one of the music channels. the videos are much better nowadays, though.

jimmy b - 31 Jul 2006 23:07 - 4942 of 81564

I watched that programe last night on Pans People , now when i was a young boy back then they looked like my Auntie ,now they look like young birds . ( well not now but then if you know what i mean)

jimmy b - 01 Aug 2006 09:25 - 4944 of 81564

I did driver , the trouble is,, that i get just as confused in the daytime as the evening ,early mornings are worse or afternoons ,after 3pm ,or before 4pm ,and sometimes around lunchtime i start cooking dinner ,or breakfast ,it usually depends if i remembered to make lunch ,which i often do in the middle of the night ,i hope that clears things up.

kimoldfield - 01 Aug 2006 09:32 - 4945 of 81564

Q. What is the definition of confusion?
A. Two blind lesbians in a fish market.

kimoldfield - 01 Aug 2006 09:33 - 4946 of 81564

Oh no, I already regret having posted that!

Confusion

A man is sitting on a public toilet when the guy in the stall next to him says, Hi, how are you?

Um, fine, answers the man.

What are you up to? asks the other guy.

Im traveling, the first guy says hesitantly.

Mind if I stop over?

What? Why the hell would you do that?

Hey, Ill call you back, says the other guy. The dipshit in the next stall keeps talkin to me.
