THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Sad to see the passing of TOTP.
I don't think i'll ever forget Chris Eubank presenting it and having to say;
"Tonight a very thpecial thinger and a very thpecial thong. Thuggths thinging thethilia".
that and Jocky Wilson. Wonderful memories.

Wasn't what it was though Al , back in the old days bands could actually play ,or maybe i just have a selective memory , i choose to forget the Wombels and the Bay City Rollers ,and remember the likes of Free ,and Led Zep ,and back then they wanted to appear on TOTP ,they would'nt now .

bosley - 31 Jul 2006 22:48 - 4941 of 81564

before baywatch there was pans people. get the tissues ready ;))

my lasting memory has to be seeing my favourite bands on the show and laughing at my dad for saying things like, "what's this shite?" and "this isn't music" !! pretty much what i say now when i'm watching one of the music channels. the videos are much better nowadays, though.

I watched that programe last night on Pans People , now when i was a young boy back then they looked like my Auntie ,now they look like young birds . ( well not now but then if you know what i mean)

I did driver , the trouble is,, that i get just as confused in the daytime as the evening ,early mornings are worse or afternoons ,after 3pm ,or before 4pm ,and sometimes around lunchtime i start cooking dinner ,or breakfast ,it usually depends if i remembered to make lunch ,which i often do in the middle of the night ,i hope that clears things up.

Q. What is the definition of confusion?
A. Two blind lesbians in a fish market.

kimoldfield - 01 Aug 2006 09:33 - 4946 of 81564

Oh no, I already regret having posted that!

kimoldfield - 01 Aug 2006 09:40 - 4947 of 81564

Confusion

A man is sitting on a public toilet when the guy in the stall next to him says, Hi, how are you?

Um, fine, answers the man.

What are you up to? asks the other guy.

Im traveling, the first guy says hesitantly.

Mind if I stop over?

What? Why the hell would you do that?

Hey, Ill call you back, says the other guy. The dipshit in the next stall keeps talkin to me.

soul traders - 01 Aug 2006 15:57 - 4953 of 81564

A glorious seven minutes of loving, Bos? I'm impressed - that's almost as short as some of my relationships.

bosley - 01 Aug 2006 17:30 - 4954 of 81564

soul, that does include sweet talk, foreplay, the main event, pillow talk, a fart , a piss and a ciggie ! glorious ;)

hewittalan6 - 01 Aug 2006 17:33 - 4955 of 81564

I've tried this exercise stuff today and it really does work!!!
I dropped my car off at the local jag dealers this morning for its annual service and walked home. I walked there to collect it and imagine! In just those 2 walks I lost a load of weight. Mainly round the wallet regions, it has to be said.

Bos, I don't smoke, so that would explain the difference. Come to think of it, I don't sh@g, either, given that I'm waiting until marriage. Which probably explains why, whenever I get friendly with a girl, Norris McWhirter starts hanging around with a stopwatch.

soul traders - 01 Aug 2006 19:12 - 4958 of 81564

Al, my brother just owned a Jag for a year and found himself walking home quite frequently.

So why on earth he traded it in for a TVR I have no idea - clearly he's been bitten by the exercise bug.
