In most religions animal welfare is disregarded and cruelty tolerated , for example in the Philippines cock fighting is legal and there are ad's on tv promoting it [ a roman catholic country ]. kosher/halal practices are performed by properly trained exponents and is not done for a laugh or anything arcane, but for sound health reasons - tread carefully
