Thanks for that Skinny, these have had a cracking run and note that the F. Divi is in Aug. paying about 2% at todays SP. This new BT Sports response to Murdoch's Broadband threat and repercussions may be clearer by then so I will continue to monitor them.

UK rural broadband roll-out criticised by auditors

The government's roll-out of "superfast" broadband to rural areas is about two years behind its original schedule, an official audit has found.

The report said only nine of 44 rural areas will reach targets for high-speed internet by 2015, and four areas could also miss a revised 2017 target.

The National Audit Office also raised concerns that BT will be the only firm likely to win contracts.

It said the company will benefit from £1.2bn of public funds as a result.

Just a bit more needed to break new 11 year highs. 350 by the end of the month is on the cards if the next update is bullish.

Ofcom calls for cuts to BT's copper wire wholesale prices

LONDON | Thu Jul 11, 2013 10:15am BST
(Reuters) - Britain's telecoms regulator said BT Group Plc should cut the prices it charges rival operators to access its network of copper wires, saying it wanted to increase competition in the provision of landline and broadband services.

Regulator Ofcom said its proposals could lead to real-term price reductions for consumers, if providers such as Talk Talk and Sky pass on the cuts to their telephone and broadband customers.

Ofcom's proposals involve price controls for BT's wholesale division Openreach for "unbundled" lines, whereby the provider takes full or part control of the line, and for wholesale line rental.
