AFC Energy plc (AFC)

greekman - 11 Oct 2012 08:57 - 519 of 1468

With sales easily outstripping buys the sp is still holding up.
Looks to me like the mm's have a few orders to fill!

greekman - 13 Oct 2012 16:55 - 520 of 1468

In the last 24 hours, it looks like the PR machine is still pumping out lots more re Amramovich and AFC.
I wonder if this will continue over Sunday.

greekman - 15 Oct 2012 08:33 - 521 of 1468

I have been investing in AIM type shares for around 12 years.
During that time I have often seen these companies share price jump on just one RNS for perhaps 2 to 3 days in a row but not without finishing any of those days at a lower close than open, as profit takers and day traders tend to knock the price back.
AFC have now closed 4 trading days in a row, at a higher closing than opening.
I can't remember any of my AIM companies sp increase for 4 days in a row in such a positive manner.
To me that goes to show that the in out money has gone leaving true believers to reap benefitsfits.
Fingers crossed today will be similar with a nice steady daily rise till the next RNS.

Well held greek!

ahoj - 15 Oct 2012 08:50 - 523 of 1468

The same experience Greekman.
Good to see you didn't sell on the rise.

greekman - 15 Oct 2012 08:59 - 524 of 1468

Hi Ahoj/Skinny,

I was not even tempted to sell on the rise.
About 8 to 12 months ago, my impatience got the better of me and I did sell some, buying back in a couple of months later at a lower price, so it was a good call.
I do though feel that to do so now would be playing a very dangerous game.
Nice to see this thread livening up almost as much as the sp.

Yes...quite a recovery going on here....

greekman - 15 Oct 2012 09:55 - 526 of 1468

With the 1st opening day later this week, any sp effecting news available has to be released to the markets prior to that date.
So fingers crossed re another RNS today or Tomorrow.

:-( ....... can't follow 'em all ..... held these many moons ago but got seriously fed up with them ...... still, there are many more stinkers that become more and more putrid

greekman - 15 Oct 2012 16:51 - 528 of 1468

Yet another good close!

cynic - 15 Oct 2012 17:26 - 529 of 1468

hi greek - tough one to call this ...... have AFC got the technology at least half-way sorted yet or is the product still very much in the R&D stage? ...... if the latter, then a sharp retrenchment may shortly(?) be on the cards

the 5 year chart shows all time high more than twice current, but why was that and why the collapse?

The reason for the rise is of course Mr Abramovich's investment (I don't know why : but I always think of Asterix and Obelix when I hear that name)......such a sharp rise might be followed by a pullback to the lower forties again.....just guessing..

cynic - 17 Oct 2012 13:41 - 531 of 1468

clunk! ..... no surprise

required field - 17 Oct 2012 15:40 - 532 of 1468

Too sharp a rise....check out JKX oil and gas Cynic....might be worth a punt for a few months...market cap far too low...

greekman - 17 Oct 2012 15:57 - 533 of 1468

Looked to buy just a few more, but no way with a spread of plus 5%.

cynic - 19 Oct 2012 08:30 - 534 of 1468

niceonecyril - 19 Oct 2012 08:57 - 535 of 1468

skinny - 19 Oct 2012 09:02 - 536 of 1468

I've been offered 35p to buy this morning - I've put a limit in a bit lower!

cynic - 19 Oct 2012 09:02 - 537 of 1468

if you have already taken a decent profit, then say "thank you very much" and walk away

skinny - 19 Oct 2012 10:01 - 538 of 1468

Almost at the top of the gap now.
