DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

With Biome if you don't laugh you will cry.

Yes indeed Greek! Still waiting for 50p. That will probably be the total funds raised by the sale of the company's assets!

Brokers only recommend buying when the share drops to their stop loss.
The dot com boom showed me this. When the share rises thereis the occasional broker rec., on the way down there are many more recs. to buy.

Being cynical (cynical should be my middle name) it could be because Daniel Stewart is the Biome in house broker.
I never take much notice of in house brokers as they usually have a positive slant to the share price.

One broker is no good. But many very often give too wide a variety of results.

Parrisf, Agreed, many times I have seen say 3 brokers recommend say a Buy with a similar number recommending a sell or hold.
Mind you at least a third of them will be right.

Pinch me, I may be dreaming!
Biome Technologies is pleased to announce that its Stanelco Radio Frequency (RF) Technologies Division has today signed a contract with a substantive customer from a regulated industry sector in the UK to supply advanced analytical equipment based on the Group's induction heating technology.
The RF Division is a specialist designer and manufacturer of induction heating and welding equipment serving a number of industrial sectors on a global basis. This contract is for supply of equipment and is expected to generate revenues of over £1.5m during a two year period. Receipts of approximately one quarter of contract value are expected to be received during 2014.
Paul Mines, Chief Executive, commented:
"This important contract enhances the order-book of our RF Technologies Division and underpins the Group's revenue growth plans. It is encouraging to see the Division broadening its applications base"

I did not think anyone out there was still in this, if it does come back into fruition I think I will have a go about claiming my losses.!!! ----Not that I will stand a chance.

Any contract albeit a small one is better than none, although I would not call a contract of £1.5 million substantive.
