THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

That depends on how patient you can be- I've picked CLEA for a long term winner
as if it follows DFD and Debtmatters for results it should shoot up. Last results it doubled to 4.5p but has slipped back to 3.5p next rslts in Sept should push it onwards and upwards- 2 years 3 I hope! BTX, PTEC, SOLA, SFT and EPY are all worth thorough research and I'm really into them. YOO of course will make me a multi millionaire eventually!! sorry to say after years of hanging in there I finally took it on the chin and ditched PCM just hope the losses come in useful-they'll probably go up now.

hewittalan6 - 24 Aug 2006 10:31 - 5224 of 81564

for my sins I am still in YOO and PCM, though I think I got in a fair bit lower than you, MP.
I am steering clear of the debt consolidation sector at the moment because there are ripples around that legislation is afoot to make IVA's easier to be set up by the debtor themselves and a cap on the charges and types of charges these companies can make.
I am in the financial industry and I don't like the whispers and research. I remember what CAT standard and Stakeholder did to my industry and I don't like it. research shows something like 70% of debt arrangements fail, and the watchdogs are talking about restricting charges to a very low % and ensuring they can only be paid at the end of the agreement, rather than as now, where the cahrges are the first things paid. Watch out for news on this. You know how the government hates everyone in financial businesses and wants them to go bankrupt by offering free advice and help.
I will have a look at the rest though.

This gov. wants to control everything and everyone!! Trouble is they poke around causing chaos, threaten to bring in legislation etc and then quietly forget about it after people have spent time and money trying to comply. home packs for example but the list is endless! Thanks for the whisper though-it could well be the banks bringing pressure as their bad debts are soaring. I will wait for Clea's results early sept but watch carefully.

morning all!

No wedding anniversaries here, but I do have two invitations to dinner parties being thrown this week by two different drop-dead-gorgeous women, so hope springs eternal!

AAU for a multi-bagger!!

hewittalan6 - 24 Aug 2006 10:55 - 5227 of 81564

Don't do it, ST.
Stay a batchelor all your life, like him.
That was what my dad said to me. Wish I'd listened.

Sorry Al, my last girlfriend was such a good advert for the female of the species that I now feel ready to take one on on a permanent basis.

Maybe I should start a thread, soliciting offers, EPIC: "WIFE"

Header: "31-year-old, international and educated male with interest in emerging resources stocks seeks similar female with own home and Mercedes 500 SL. Please send a photo of the Mercedes 500 SL."

soul traders - 24 Aug 2006 11:21 - 5229 of 81564

hewittalan6 - 24 Aug 2006 11:49 - 5230 of 81564

Crap. Big fan of the XJ8, myself.

soul traders - 24 Aug 2006 11:51 - 5231 of 81564

Have you got the XJ8, Al (since I seem to remember you mentioned owning a Jag a month or so ago)?

I have to say that Jags actually come further up my list of preferred vehicles. but there aren't so many around here in Frankfurt.

hewittalan6 - 24 Aug 2006 16:06 - 5232 of 81564

Yep.

hewittalan6 - 25 Aug 2006 08:08 - 5233 of 81564

It is better to have loved and lost...............than to spend the rest of your life living with a pshyco.

kimoldfield - 25 Aug 2006 09:44 - 5234 of 81564

But Alan, I've done all that and I'm STILL living with a pshyco. Where did I go wrong?
