That's a big feather in the cap for BT and a big loss to Sky, be interesting to see the reaction on Monday. ITV sp may be hit, good oppo to add :O) Sky are very professional, whether BT can match them in that regard remains to be seen. Reading between the lines and comments from across the road they may have to lease some of the games out initially.

As a Chels fan and sky subscriber my likely behaviour right now would be to drop CL viewing as the PL is more important imo

I suspect many chels to be of a similar opinion so BT are certainly not going to run away with it

About time someone challenged Sky's monopoly.

Way your lot are playing Joe you won't be playing CL football next season let alone 2015.

BSkyB CEO says keen to sign BT wholesale sports deal

(Reuters) - BSkyB (BSY.L) is keen to sign a mutual wholesale deal with BT (BT.L) so both groups can offer their customers the full range of live sports, Chief Executive Jeremy Darroch said on Wednesday.

BSkyB, the dominant pay-TV group in Britain, lost the rights to show Champions League soccer to BT earlier this month, making it more important that the two groups agree a wholesale deal so BSkyB can show the BT sports channels on its platform and vice versa.

Speaking at a Morgan Stanley conference in Barcelona, Darroch said he did not expect to take a huge hit from the loss of the channels and that they had not been willing to pay any more for the rights.
