Queen1

Time to buy a few more, just done so at 20.725p, I agree with your opinion!

goal - 23 Aug 2006 13:14 - 6189 of 7811

Ray, looks like a lot of people are buying now.

seawallwalker - 23 Aug 2006 13:18 - 6190 of 7811

Certainly does goal.

To 'eck with it........ I'll break a rule for a few.

queen1 - 23 Aug 2006 14:03 - 6191 of 7811

Well done SWW!

Andy & Goal - It's been a long haul and it's just got a little longer but I firmly believe that the end result will be worth it...eventually.

ahoj - 23 Aug 2006 14:41 - 6192 of 7811

I didn't expect to see 21p again. I suspect MMs are holding the price down to attract more sells. IMO
I hold and will buy further.

optomistic - 23 Aug 2006 16:25 - 6193 of 7811

I broke the rule as well.

seawallwalker - 23 Aug 2006 16:50 - 6194 of 7811

Todays lot is strictly for trading, I need to refill my wine cellar, well attic really, hum, I suppose it could be a little loft then.

6 bottles should do it!

georgetrio - 23 Aug 2006 16:57 - 6195 of 7811

sometimes, i think when the price hit a certain low level, it brings attention back to
the sp. 18p will be perfect for a new trend. SEY balance sheet is excellent added to a continuous cash inflow under a rare smart team. shareholders should refuse any bidding from any predators.

optomistic - 23 Aug 2006 17:04 - 6196 of 7811

seawallwalker, all mine are for 'trading'. Just doesn't work out that way....sometimes. LOL

Ray A - 23 Aug 2006 17:22 - 6197 of 7811

Who bought 2,500,000 after the bell?

georgetrio - 23 Aug 2006 22:53 - 6198 of 7811

RAY A
surely somebody who recognises value and take action instead of dreaming.
very smart investors.

share trader - 23 Aug 2006 23:29 - 6199 of 7811

Oversold today in my opinion!!!

Ray A - 24 Aug 2006 20:37 - 6200 of 7811

Holding steady, further BUYs after the bell of 600,000 and 1,700,000 a good sign!

andysmith - 24 Aug 2006 20:42 - 6201 of 7811

Very heavy trading in last two days, is something afoot, and if it is good then why the drop in sp. I've been in and out twice 17-24 locking in profit and 24-29 selling again purely as I needed some cash but I never expected to see 20-21p again. The Hardman report is disappointing but there appear several strings to SEY's bow plus they may be a future takeover target. Very tempting to get back in and hold long-term this time as the fall isn't frighteneing some large buyers.

georgetrio - 24 Aug 2006 21:09 - 6202 of 7811

SHARE TRADER
OVERSOLD, NEVER MIND. STUPID SELLERS OR GAMBLERS. THEY DO COME BACK though BUT ONLY WHEN THE PARTY IS OVER AND THEY WILL SELL AGAIN.OR they may be some dirty rich people laughing when they lose, cn't blame them. longterm investors will be rewarded. best luck

georgetrio - 24 Aug 2006 21:31 - 6203 of 7811

Sterling ENERGY is a profitable company, strong balance sheet, productive and all that for 21p very cheap indeed. a bit painful to see red but longterm investor with a bit of cash left should strengthened their position if they want to, IMHO. SEY rises from 5p to 31p within five years not bad.

jameel06 - 24 Aug 2006 21:55 - 6204 of 7811

Andy... to answer ur question. The fall is all to do with results coming out from Premier Oil which shows that Chinguetti oil is muc much less than initially estimated. However Premier SP did hold up and increased yesterday as it also received interest from a Oil Major as a potential takeover target!

I was addicted to SEY for a long while and had to sell in Feb. But I am back in yesterday and this will be for the long term

share trader - 24 Aug 2006 23:27 - 6205 of 7811

jameel006,

Good to see you back!

I agree, I saw the ROC RNS, but I saw others mention Premier. whilst there's no denting this is disappointing, the reserves have not yet been downgraded, and by SEY's own admission, they are receiving considerably more for their oil than was budgeted for, so there is some offset to the lower production.

Nice to see a little blue today, and hopefully the market will see the potential value here.

Results are due out in mid Septemeber, so there is a chance they will release better then expected figures, or possibly some news.

jameel06 - 25 Aug 2006 18:48 - 6206 of 7811

share trader, I am back and have suffered badly through tyhe summer! Just when I started to accumulate my equity investments I got stung in the summer correction!!!!

Anyways back in SEY only in a small way! Took adv. of the dip two days ago but I guess its not provde a good thing. Nevertheless results day in Sep will be the key event!

Nice to see ur around and well!
