Couldn't believe it this morning when I saw a 6 million and a 6.5 milliion shares trade go through on Squawk Box. Had to hurry in to work to check whether it was a Buy or Sell. Thankfully both were Buys. Somebody's accummulating - and at these prices I can see why.

They know, they will never get it at this price again. smart investors. Too much value here, even though more should be coming.

Well, i think answers may vary from one to another.
Some may say ASHTEAD, or CAIRN, or Golden Prospect, or Sterling Energy, or GOLD OIL. Now how would you feel if you recognise these hidden fortune at early stage? and what would you have done?
Please, never regret, as regret is the effort to undo something in the past on the time scale. It is a trap.
Now why all this about?
DO you see values in STERLING ENERGY? or this non-popular FAO, or this smart builder PVR, or this solid GOO OR the ambitious BLR? We shall see. The surpises will come from SEY, GOO and indeed FAO.

Massive volume traded today so far!

Up 0.5p, but the MMs will probably play around with that later!

Look increasingly like Amvescap are making a final move on the Company.

Funny thing is that the bid ask stayed at 20 - 20.5p wmore or less, amd all the time this was happening then, whe a few retail players came it, the MM's marked it up.

Are they trying to discourage buyers I wonder?

Here is what I know today, The Times says PMO are in the frame for a takeover, by Shell.

Sterling get revenbue from PMO, Amvescap own 23% at last count of this company.

It could be that the PMO issue will come off and Amvescap may make an offering of Sterling along side, or is that too daft a guess?

The sp crashed down a few days ago because of a ROC/ Hardman report on Chinguetti, which actually made not much difference to Sterling.

Yesterday the buying started in earnest at below 20p.

It appears someone knows something we don't. Many large trades and very high volume. Anyone know what's going on?

I think that is record daily volume for SEY .

I still think it's Amvescap playing pass the parcel.........

Anything else and there would have been significant sp movements up or down.
