austing2253, brianrog,

Massive volume traded today so far!

Up 0.5p, but the MMs will probably play around with that later!

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 14:17 - 6217 of 7811

Look increasingly like Amvescap are making a final move on the Company.

And why not at these prices

proptrade - 31 Aug 2006 14:29 - 6218 of 7811

wow...VOLUME

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 14:31 - 6219 of 7811

Master RSI says stock over hang being cleared prop, looks too big for that.

StarFrog - 31 Aug 2006 14:33 - 6220 of 7811

72.5 million trades so far - I agree sww, too big for a stock over hang.

optomistic - 31 Aug 2006 14:36 - 6221 of 7811

Been bots running for days, 10,15,20,25k's apart from all the rest

proptrade - 31 Aug 2006 14:37 - 6222 of 7811

WAY too big....sorry i have been playing in PANR and only have a scrap of these left, whats up?

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 14:38 - 6223 of 7811

Funny thing is that the bid ask stayed at 20 - 20.5p wmore or less, amd all the time this was happening then, whe a few retail players came it, the MM's marked it up.

Are they trying to discourage buyers I wonder?

optomistic - 31 Aug 2006 14:40 - 6224 of 7811

Don't want the price too high until the order is filled?

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 14:41 - 6225 of 7811

Here is what I know today, The Times says PMO are in the frame for a takeover, by Shell.

Sterling get revenbue from PMO, Amvescap own 23% at last count of this company.

It could be that the PMO issue will come off and Amvescap may make an offering of Sterling along side, or is that too daft a guess?

I only have a scrap too.

That'll do.

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 14:42 - 6226 of 7811

optomistic - that was my thinking......

The sp crashed down a few days ago because of a ROC/ Hardman report on Chinguetti, which actually made not much difference to Sterling.

Yesterday the buying started in earnest at below 20p.

austing2253 - 31 Aug 2006 16:19 - 6227 of 7811

It appears someone knows something we don't. Many large trades and very high volume. Anyone know what's going on?

Andy - 31 Aug 2006 16:44 - 6228 of 7811

83 million shares traded!

I think that is record daily volume for SEY .

seawallwalker - 31 Aug 2006 16:45 - 6229 of 7811

I still think it's Amvescap playing pass the parcel.........

Anything else and there would have been significant sp movements up or down.

Always interesting here though, even when it's boring.

georgetrio - 31 Aug 2006 16:52 - 6230 of 7811
