have turned a reasonable profit o'night, and the wise chap (not necessarily me!) may bank same

goldfinger - 12 Jun 2013 15:56 - 631 of 2763

6300 under threat again on the ftse.

Just wish we'd get to 6250 and then get rid of this volatility.

Volatility and holidays dont go together. And dont use stop losses as they are tools made for MMs gain.

Sorry not much to go on in this market at the moment.

cynic - 12 Jun 2013 22:27 - 635 of 2763

didn't take my profit in dow, and with difficulty have resisted the temptation to average down, though i think this level (14975) looks quite tasty

===================

but then further collapse of about 100 pts o'night!

goldfinger - 13 Jun 2013 10:12 - 636 of 2763

ha ha Yep I notice your add on Cyners.

Thank god I liquidated most of my folio 14 days ago. Just 3 longs left and well under control.

Think a lot of traders will have been hit hard by this pull back if that is all it is.
Pity the newbie novice traders.

Reminds me a little of 93 and the dot com.

UPCH4RT - 14 Jun 2013 17:33 - 648 of 2763

Aver and doodlebug, thanks for your comments earlier in the week. Never got around to saying thanks. Appreciate your comments. Bit of a bounce today in some stocks. NANO clawed back a bit today and so did WIN.

Haven't posted the weekly update yet, but will do so over the weekend.

Sell in May and buy back again on St Ledgers day looks true again this year!

Upchart.

cynic - 14 Jun 2013 18:00 - 649 of 2763

if you can get into the rhythm when the markets are very volatile, there's a lot of money to be made (or lost!), but you have to be totally on the ball, focussed and discplined - unlike me :-)
