Also, from page 8 of their 2006 interim presentation (link below, PDF file Sept 06) they have an active Q4 06 on the drilling front with 1 well in process as of now.

Green line is 200 dma
Red line is 25 dma
Shares are still a long long way down from their peak of 32 back in May.
Potential investors need to take a view as to whether current enthusiasm is well founded or if it is just the lemmings getting on board.
For myself, am moderately tempted but would then want to dump another minnow oily to avoid getting overweight in that sector - i.e. GOO or VOG or CHP (also hold BUR and TLW of the heavyweights)

PapalPower,
Yes they are currently drilling in Louisianna, and they have two or three more wells to spud before year end.

rarely find much point in showing charts stretching back more than 3/6 months or occasionally 1 year, as for me at least, it's usually a trend I am looking for ...... not remotely clever or informed enough to get into chart esoterics

This comment appeared in The Business a few days ago;
Of the Aim-listed companies in Africa, Sterling, Equator Petroleum, and Bowleven are targets.
Stockbroker Hargreave Hale, which advises a group of Sterlings shareholders, has been touting the company to potential buyers, as has Bowlevens broker Noble. The aggressive US funds which predominate in Equators shareholder base are known to be looking for a quick exit. Roc Oil could also see itself being acquired.

We may be closer to a takeover scenario than we think!
