It looks like there was a share split in 2008 - this is the real long term chart.

Hmmmm......in that case I think I may take profit around the 80p level! No point in being too greedy!

skinny - 03 Feb 2014 17:31 - 712 of 1120

LOL.

Dil - 04 Feb 2014 07:51 - 713 of 1120

Big resistance at 30p needs to be taken out first Harry.

Choo choo :-)

In Daily Mail today.

'David Breith’s internet service provider Coms, which was the star performer of 2013 following a spectacular gain of 970 per cent on the year, continued to attract buyers and closed 1.6p or 17 per cent higher at 11p. However, rumours were rife towards the close that a heavily discounted share placing at 6p a pop could be on the cards.'

Cfire3_24566_7.gifComs PLC Stmnt re Share Price Movement

The Board of Coms (AIM: COMS) notes the recent strong rise in the Company's share price, following the trading update released on 23 January 2014, and confirms that it is not aware of any specific reason for such a movement.

The Board can confirm, however, that it is currently in advanced discussions regarding a potential acquisition ("Acquisition") albeit there can be no certainty as to whether the Acquisition will proceed. The potential acquisition is opportunistic but should it proceed it will enhance the Company's cloud based services which in the Board's view will likely place Coms as one of the leading businesses in this sector.

In the event that the Acquisition proceeds, the Company will need to raise additional funds and is currently working with its advisers on this matter. As ever, the Board is focused on maximising shareholder value as it continues to grow the Company over the coming years.

Dave Breith, CEO states "The potential deal that we have been presented with is an ideal fit for Coms. I hope I have demonstrated in my time at Coms I have always acted in the right interests of the Company and shareholders and I will continue to do so"

Further announcements will be made in due course.

IG - phone only dealing.

HARRYCAT - 04 Feb 2014 09:55 - 718 of 1120

Think I will sit it out. Very tradeable, but think I will try and focus on the long term. Might buy more if I can find some cash!

doodlebug4 - 04 Feb 2014 09:56 - 719 of 1120

I wonder who started the "rumours" of a heavily discounted share placing at 6p?

skinny - 04 Feb 2014 09:57 - 720 of 1120

I closed some @10 and now can't buy them back!

I do still have the real shares though.

skinny - 04 Feb 2014 11:02 - 721 of 1120

Is anyone else able to deal through IG on these?

doodlebug4 - 04 Feb 2014 11:07 - 722 of 1120

I don't deal with IG skinny - I just buy/sell real shares, I don't even mess around with T20s. Sorry I'm totally boring!:-)

skinny - 04 Feb 2014 11:09 - 723 of 1120

I only do in a small way, CMC also mainly index and pin money :-)

doodlebug4 - 04 Feb 2014 12:06 - 724 of 1120

Here's just one example of an article published by Geoff Foster which proved to have no substance whatsoever - it was based on "rumours" and "hot gossip". The "imminent transformational acquisition" never happened!

"MARKET REPORT: Pulses race for health minnow Healthcare Investment Opportunities

By Geoff Foster

PUBLISHED:01:30, 31 July 2013| UPDATED:01:30, 31 July 2013

Rumours trucking down the M6 to the Square Mile yesterday suggested David Evans, the highly-regarded player in the small-cap healthcare diagnostics market who has been involved in the growth of several Manchester-based life sciences firms, is about to set pulses racing in the AIM market again.

Shares of his cash shell Healthcare Investment Opportunities (HIO) touched 16.9p before closing 0.88p or 5.6 per cent up at a record 16.5p on hot gossip of an imminent transformational acquisition."

Dil - 04 Feb 2014 12:11 - 725 of 1120

He also published loads of crap rumours about BPRG/MDX on big up or down days.

Bit suprised he didn't publish my COMS to bid for VOD rumour a couple of weeks ago :-)

doodlebug4 - 04 Feb 2014 13:55 - 726 of 1120

Dil - I would think your rumour far more realistic than suggesting a heavily discounted placing at 6p!:-) It's just as well for some of these newspaper hacks that the FSA is generally pretty ineffective.

skinny - 04 Feb 2014 15:34 - 727 of 1120

Heavy volume - I guess a few, like me - have churned these once or twice today.
