Agree with the above, don't see it as a bad move which will affect us. From the statement:

"Alan has a wealth of experience in the energy sector and in African affairs
having worked for over 30 years in worldwide positions at British Gas, Chevron,
Petro SA and others."

So the new director is not exactly new to the industry! Also, as Andy points out, was on the board of Fusion and look at the deal they did to get the Mauritania program. Have to say that i'm confident this is not a bad move.

Bring on next week. Happy as always!

Have a good weekend all.

RE: WIRELINE LOG RESULTS FOR
DORADE-1, MAURITANIA

PAGES: 2

Hardman Resources Ltd ('Hardman') provides the following report on the
evaluation of the wireline data:

Dorade-1 Exploration Well - PSC 2

Progress and Current Status:
Since the last report (5 October 2004) Dorade-1 has been drilled to TD and
wireline logs have been run. Evaluation of the wireline data indicates that
Dorade-1 has not encountered any hydrocarbons. Some good quality Late Miocene
sands have been intersected but were water bearing. The well is currently being
plugged and abandoned.

Upon completing the plugging and abandonment programme the Stena Tay rig will
move to the Capitaine-1 exploration well in PSC B.

Note: There are no plans to drill-stem test any exploration well in the current
drilling campaign.

Well Location:
The Dorade-1 prospect is located approximately 165 kilometres southwest of
Nouakchott, the Mauritanian capital, and 85 kilometres southwest of the
Chinguetti Field. Water depth is 1,670 metres, and the total depth of the well
was 2,600 metres.

Well Details:
The Dorade-1 exploration well was drilled to test a Late Miocene channel sand
fairway. The main target was intersected at approximately 2,400 metres depth.

Other information:

All reported depths are referenced to the rig rotary table (except water depth).

Times and dates refer to GMT (Mauritania time), 8 hours behind Western Standard
Time, Perth.

A map showing the location of the wells will be available on the Hardman website
(
www.hdr.com.au
) and will be updated during the course of the 2004/2005 drilling
programme.

The 2004/05 drilling programme will include wells in three production sharing
contract areas (PSC's). Joint venture interests in those areas are:

Morning all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. The RNS doesn't seem to have affected us. New drilling update tomorrow morning to look forward to.

proptrade - 18 Oct 2004 09:30 - 839 of 7811

morning. agree with the comments so far, lets focus on our drill interests. it would of course have been a great boost but was widely talked about last week. tomorrow's update is something to look forward to it will be a quiet day today....

Hi guys.

Exactly roght.

I see HNR are on the way back having dropped a bit.

Typical over reaction to news.

All good I think otherwise.

proptrade - 18 Oct 2004 10:25 - 841 of 7811

another case of relax, sit tight and wait for the news.

had a fab sunday lunch yesterday..roast beef, yorkies and roast potatoes and mashed swede. thought i would share it with you guys on this increasingly gastronomic thread.

seawallwalker - 18 Oct 2004 10:27 - 842 of 7811

lol

seawallwalker - 18 Oct 2004 10:31 - 843 of 7811

Pushed the boat out and went to Brewers Fayre.

Outstanding Sunday Lunch for the money.

Lamb with shallots in a rosemary gravy, in a suet pudding, mash two veg, 6.95, plus a pud of course, latte coffee, very nice.

Don't know if they all come up to the same measure, but this was excellent.

Total bill for 4 was just over 50, and the good news was the Missus paid for it ;-))

Plus nectar points of course, which I had!

proptrade - 18 Oct 2004 10:43 - 844 of 7811

ooohhh, sounds at least as on par with mine. nothing like a lazy lunch for four on a sunday...

love the nectar point reference, nothing like VFM and a bonus!

gavdfc - 18 Oct 2004 10:50 - 845 of 7811

Think I lost on the Sunday lunch front. Steak pie, mashed potatoes and green beens, no pud or Nectar points. Still good but not as good as you two. Offer moved up to 18p now.

proptrade - 18 Oct 2004 13:22 - 846 of 7811

i am falling asleep here!

hilary - 18 Oct 2004 13:47 - 847 of 7811

gavdfc,

Are we related? I don't do Sunday lunch (takes to long out of the day!) and instead eat in the evening. However, I also had steak pie but with chips and baked beans.

The Other Kevin - 18 Oct 2004 13:57 - 848 of 7811

I baked a couple of chunks of Alaskan wild salmon, bought from Tesco, and served it simply with some seasonal veg. More expensive than the Scottish farmed variety but tasted much better.

mickeyskint - 18 Oct 2004 14:05 - 849 of 7811

You lot were lucky all I had was an old bone the dog did'nt want any more.
I feel Monty Python coming on.

proptrade - 18 Oct 2004 14:17 - 850 of 7811

sounds like you are moving up in the world, at least you are on solid food as opposed to the dripping last week....

gavdfc - 18 Oct 2004 15:03 - 851 of 7811

Hilary,

Lol! Maybe it's just great minds thinking alike, either that or we're long lost cousins or something! Around here, Sunday lunch happens around 5ish so I guess it's a Sunday tea, not lunch. As for tonights tea, will be fish and chips served with some pickled onions, real classy!

MS,

Maybe you should try spicing up your meals. How about that old bone marinated in sesame oil and cracked black pepper, then babrecued with a teriyake dipping sauce. As for the dripping, maybe add some herbs and a side salad. ;-)

Such a quiet day here!

mickeyskint - 18 Oct 2004 15:32 - 852 of 7811

Does eating bones give you wind? What's left of the bone I'm going to give it to the mothering law for christmas dinner. On account that she loves me so much.

hilary - 18 Oct 2004 15:52 - 854 of 7811

My husband would be impressed with your style, mickey. I'd best not let him read this thread in case it sows some seeds.

:o)

seawallwalker - 18 Oct 2004 16:10 - 855 of 7811

Micky, so that you are well catered for this coming Christmas, I have decided to send you the left overs from the dinner, and a nearly empty bottle of Champagne from the New Year celebrations.

I hope you enjoy anything you can find in that lot.
