American Petro-Hunter Completes #24-1 Double H Well -- Prepares for January Oil and Gas Production at Rooney, Kansas
SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - December 15, 2009) - American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is very pleased to announce that the completion program at the #24-1 Double H Oil Well on the Rooney Project is now finished and the well is being readied for full scale oil production.
The well was perforated and swabbed at hourly rates of oil flow in keeping with the Company's original estimates of over 200 barrels per day. The down-hole reservoir pressures have remained strong and steady producing excellent quality 44 degree oil which will sell at top dollar to oil purchasers in the area. Consequently, the Company believes that based on the completion results and recent seismic data, the find represents a significant discovery well in a new reservoir at Rooney.
Natural gas associated with the pay zone will necessitate the installation of a gas separator and hook-up to a gas pipeline located less than 1 mile away. Currently, the gas flow is estimated at between 70 to 80 MCF per day which will generate additional income from the well.
Rods are being positioned in the well and site preparations begin tomorrow for the construction of the tank battery, mounting of the pump-jack and installation of gas lines for hook up. The Company and operator plan to expedite all arrangements towards the commencement of full scale commercial oil and gas production currently slated for January 1, 2010.
The completion results confirm the projected Initial Production Rates (I.P.R.) with a possibility of exceeding those estimates. Final production rates will be based on the needs of the reservoir in order to maintain pressures and integrity. Daily production rates will be fully established once production has commenced and actual barrels of oil produced to the tanks are calculated.
About the Rooney Project:
The Rooney Project is located in southwestern Ford County, Kansas 20 miles due south of Dodge City and totals 5,120 acres adjacent to the north edge of existing Morrow Sand oil and gas production. The initial discovery well, #24-1 Double H is anticipated to begin production at rates over 200 barrels per day. After a review of the 3D seismic data in conjunction with the electronic logs, the potential barrels of oil associated well and oil pool is currently estimated at 500,000 barrels. The Company and partners have developed a minimum of 5 target locations to drill that could enable the Company to add 5 additional wells to its portfolio by the end of the third quarter of 2010. The operator of the project is S&W Oil & Gas, LLC of Wichita, Kansas. Please visit www.americanpetrohunter.com to view background information on the project as well as recent photos of drilling operations in Kansas.

Low-btu gas in the US Midcontinent: A challenge for geologists and engineers
Sep 14, 2009
By K. David Newell, Saibal Bhattacharya, and M. Scott Sears
Considerable unexploited resources of natural gas in the US have been largely bypassed due to unacceptable levels of associated nitrogen (N2), which lowers heat content.
Natural gas that is laden with other common impurities such carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and heavier hydrocarbons typically has less of a problem accessing local markets because of the relative ease in which these components can be removed.
Nitrogen separates from natural gas with more difficulty, but as a result many domestic production opportunities have been shunned by generations of producers.
One such fairway of bypassed low-btu gas (nominally, gas with heat content <950 btu/standard cu ft) is in central and southern Kansas. The authors' premise is that small-scale and mobile nitrogen-removal systems, when coupled with good resource evaluation, can reap considerable reward with only small investment.
Substantial geologic and well-test data from wells in this region indicate possible, probable, and proved reserves of heretofore unsellable low-btu gas that can be explored and produced with varying degrees of risk.
Low-btu gas can be an unrecognized resource. Some of it can be utilized at the wellsite for powering pumps that tap oil zones or for onsite or sales-to-grid electrical generation by microturbines, but much of it is left behind pipe if its relative flow rate prohibits it from being blended with a higher-btu gas.
A successful exploitation endeavor will require judicious adherence to "fiscal proportionality," whereby early-stage nitrogen removal will succeed only when project costs are in line with project revenues. Pressures and rates of production must be diligently quantified in order to select the type and size of upgrading asset.
Recent advances in small-scale nitrogen removal are now providing a means for upgrading low-btu gas in these areas of Kansas that have frustrated gas producers since the early days.
Trends in gas quality
Low-btu gas in Kansas is found in a variety of reservoirs of varying age and in fields ranging in size up to giant Hugoton gas field.
Kansas produces 36 million bbl/year of oil and 370 bcf/year of gas, mostly from Mesozoic and Paleozoic strata. Giant Hugoton gas field in southwestern Kansas accounts for 53% of the current gas production in the state. Significant gas production elsewhere in the state is also associated with strata immediately overlying and subcropping beneath the basal Pennsylvanian angular unconformity.
Low-btu gas in this part of the Midcontinent is primarily caused by high percentages of nitrogen and subsidiary helium. Argon and CO2 can also be present, but they commonly compose less than 0.5% of the total gas.

From Credo (oil company in central kansas uplift......Central Kansas Uplift--On the Central Kansas Uplift, CREDO has drilled a wildcat well on a 2,150 gross acre seismically defined prospect. Production pipe has been set through the Lansing-Kansas City formation. The well is classified as a "tight hole", meaning that detailed information is not being released for proprietary business reasons. CREDO owns an 85% working interest in the prospect and is the operator. Development drilling is scheduled.
CREDO currently owns 139,000 gross (65,000 net) acres located on the Central Kansas Uplift and is continuing to expand its acreage position in both Kansas and Nebraska. To date, the company has participated in drilling a total of 32 wells on the acreage, of which 47% have been successfully completed as oil producers. Well depths range from 3,500 to 4,000 feet and drilling costs are moderate.
"Our drilling success on the Central Kansas Uplift continues to be outstanding," Huffman said. "In addition to providing good diversification to our other drilling activities, this project is 100% oil and will improve the balance between oil and natural gas in CREDO's reserve base. We expect the play to make a major contribution to our reserve and production growth."

acre Pool\Proffitt prospect. Electric logs and drilling and completion data indicate that the Chester, Mississippian and Hunton formations are commercially productive. The company owns a 50% working interest and is the operator.
The Hunton formation is the deepest productive zone and contains 13 feet of highly porous and permeable dolomite. After perforation and acid breakdown, the Hunton zone kicked-off flowing. During the final 24-hour test, the well produced 535 barrels of oil and an estimated 1.0 to 2.0 MMcfg (million cubic feet of gas). Shut-in casing and tubing pressures are 2,600 psi, indicating virgin bottom-hole pressure. The well is currently shut-in for installation of production equipment.
In addition to the Hunton formation, the company plans to perforate and produce over 150 feet of Mississippian formation and 35 feet of pay with excellent porosity in the Chester formation. However, because the Hunton zone flowed oil at high rates with virgin pressure, completion of the up-hole zones will be delayed in order to more fully evaluate the Hunton zone potential.
James T. Huffman, CEO, stated, "It is very unusual for a well to flow oil from a depth of 9,300 feet. The high production rate indicates outstanding reservoir permeability and porosity as well as excellent pressure." Huffman further stated, "Our Pool-Proffitt prospect has multiple productive intervals in the Hunton, Mississippian, Chester, Inola and Red Fork formations which we estimate will require 10 to 12 wells to fully develop."

CENTRAL KANSAS UPLIFT PR JECT
Apollo has commenced an evaluation of exploration and development opportunities in the state of Kansas. Historically, Kansas has been a very prolific oil and gas producing state with cumulative production exceeding 6.1 billion barrels of oil (BBO) and 37.5 trillion cubic feet of gas. Current yearly production is approximately 33 million barrels of oil and 342 billion cubic feet of gas from over 60,000 wells. The most prolific oil reservoirs are the Arbuckle (Ordovician) and Lansing-Kansas City (Pennsylvanian) formations particularly from fields located on the Central Kansas Uplift (CKU) (see Figure 4). Arbuckle reservoirs have produced over 2 BBO statewide. Of the 31 counties in which the Arbuckle has been productive, over 70% of the production has come from 10 counties situated on the Central Kansas Uplift. The focus of Apollos program is to identify low risk development drilling targets together with delineating exploration prospects that have significant reserve potential. Well depths along the CKU range from 3000-3500 which allows drilling costs to be relatively low. This together with per well reserve potential that can exceed 100,000 BO makes the economics of this play particularly attractive. Apollo is generated roughly 40 high grade geologic prospects across three different counties on the CKU, has acquired drilling rights on the majority thereof, and will be conducting geophysical operations (3-D Seismic) on six of the prospects in the first quarter of 2009; we expect to have drill locations reading for operations by first quarter of 2010.

During the last few years, we have successfully expanded into several oil plays in order to achieve better balance between oil and natural gas in our reserve base.
Oklahoma. Oklahoma drilling has historically been the primary driver for Credo's production growth. We own approximately 75,000 gross acres and have interests in almost 200 wells. After year-end, Credo completed two wells on its Pool\Proffitt Prospect to test multiple carbonate reservoirs using new fracture stimulation technology. Both appear to be very good wells, and there are up to 12 additional locations on Credo's acreage.
One of the wells is a new pool discovery in the Hunton formation. During the final 24-hour test, the well flowed 535 barrels of oil and an estimated 1.0 to 2.0 MMcfg (million cubic feet of gas) with virgin pressure. Due to low oil prices and the reservoir character, we are curtailing production to 100 barrels of oil per day. The well also found over 150 feet of potential pay in the Mississippian formation and 31 feet of excellent Chester pay. Credo owns a 50% working interest. The second well encountered over 150 feet of indicated pay in the Mississippian formation and 35 feet of excellent Chester formation. Credo owns a 73% working interest.
Central Kansas Uplift. We have achieved excellent drilling results on the Central Kansas Uplift. To date, Credo has participated in 33 wells on the Uplift, of which 48% have been successfully completed as oil producers. That outstanding success prompted us to increase Credo's leasehold position to almost 150,000 gross and 75,000 net acres. This acreage provides a good inventory of future drilling opportunities where Credo owns interests ranging up to 85 percent.
Drilling on the Uplift is relatively shallow and costs are moderate, yielding good economics even in the current product price environment. In addition, the project is oil targeted, thereby improving the balance between oil and natural gas in Credo's reserve base. We expect Kansas to make a major contribution to our reserve and production growth in 2009.

NTOG - Nostra Terra Oil and GasCompany PLC

As this co is currently the star performer in my p/fs a thread of its own now seems apt.
It's a tiny speculative AIM resorces penny dreadful so DYOR but its management's change of emphasis from exploring for Hyrdocarbons in remote unstable parts of the globe and instead looking at stable USA-type countries seems to be paying off if their recent RNS is any yardstick:
Quote:
13 October 2009
Nostra Terra is pleased to announce a hydrocarbon discovery on the Boxberger
property in Kansas, USA.
The Boxberger A #5 horizontal well in Russell County, Kansas is Nostra Terra's
initial production well in the area. The well is a re-entry. It was originally
drilled to a total measured depth of 3,400 feet. We are drilling multiple
laterals in two un-produced zones in lengths of 300 feet to 600 feet each.
Details on flow rate will be provided once production is established. Nostra
Terra currently holds a 75% working interest before payout and 50% after payout
in this well. Hewitt Petroleum, Inc. (HPI) holds the remaining interest.
"We have encountered two reservoirs that have never been produced before," said
William A. Alexander, a consulting engineer based in Broken Arrow, OK. The
project culminates a five-year research effort designed to identify bypassed
reserves in the Central Kansas Uplift. The field where Boxberger is located is
one of the largest in Kansas having produced almost 100 million barrels of oil
in various zones since its discovery in 1926.
"Our partnership with HPI is off to a great start," said Matt Lofgran, CEO of
Nostra Terra. "We are encouraged by the early results. Re-work operations
should be completed mid-week and re-work of the Boxberger #2 SWD is now
complete. Once the Boxberger A #5 is in production, we will immediately move to
the Boxberger B #2. We plan on finishing the rework and bringing that well
online in 2-3 weeks."
No one yet knows how much gas is there or its flow rates etc so investing now has a larger than usual element of gamble about it.
None the less more investors piled in last week especially towards the close on Friday when its sp reached a 27% gain on the day.
I know that historic charts are pretty unreliable for AIM shares but it may be noteworthy that on the old 2007 SC thread
there was talk suggesting that the then 2p sp was low.
Current mid sp even after recent gains is 0.86p.
However the gain has already been meteoric so defintely dyor - I hold

Greetings insider
I noticed that too and have made sure as a consequence that some of my gains were locked in.
However I hold a good few still and that balance is c. 70% up and that is after
several days. P&Ds usually depart in my experience within say 48 hours.
Also the recent RNS did state new hydrocarbon discovery. Until we know how much or
little the new hydrocarbons amount to, investing in NTOG
is indeed v. speculative.
We should see soon

Copied and pasted my post on the PCI thread just now:
Quote:
Greetings BEYNO2
TX for this helpful info.
The PCI sp slightly disappointed today - barely a measley 4% up despite such a good RNS.
Reminds a bit of NTOG which I began investing in
after a not too dissimilar RNS recently intitially at about 0.35p but with averaging up. I eventually took remaining profit today at 1.31p although had I been a little more patient 1.70p looked possible b4 the close.
I'm not saying that PCI sp will manage quite the same % performance but its "more gas than expected" words do give cause for
optimism and imho so dyor the risk is less than
was the case for NTOG
Well done to NTOG holders who enjoyed the huge
SP gains following my sell at 1.31p.
I had been averaging up NTOG but the current sp level is a bit too toppy for my personal risk/reward balance to tempt me back in.

Profit takers might have acted a little too soon... commercially viable well!
-------------------
"Further to the hydrocarbon discovery on the Boxberger property announced by
Nostra Terra on 13 October 2009, the Company is pleased to announce that the two
newly discovered zones in the Boxberger A#5 Well (the "Well") have now been
swabbed and sufficient oil has been extracted to determine that the Well will be
commercially viable.
As originally planned, the Company will now swab two other zones in the Well,
targeted by the Company prior to the recent hydrocarbon discovery in Boxberger
A#5. These two zones are known to have high oil saturations. Once completed,
production equipment will then be sized and the Well will be put into production
which is expected, weather permitting, within the next 10 business days. Once
production has been established, initial flow-rates will be announced and will
be updated once they have stabilised at normal production levels.
The Well is Nostra Terra's initial production well on the Boxberger property.
The Company has an interest in a total of eleven wells on that property,
including at least one salt water disposal well. Nostra Terra anticipates
bringing the remaining wells into production using cash flow from production
operations."

Altamash and other SCs - observations on the following connundrum would be welcome please.
Companies often issue RNSs when their SPs have fallen or risen sharply to say "no reason...etc"
Thus NTOG stated on 21st October:
Quote:
The Company has noticed the recent trading volumes and movement in its share
price and, save for the Boxberger Hydrocarbon discovery announced on 13 October,
knows of no reason for it. As indicated in that announcement, re-work
operations on Boxberger A #5 will be completed shortly and details on flow rates
will be announced as soon as they become available.
Yet barely a week later they announced:
Quote:
Further to the hydrocarbon discovery on the Boxberger property announced by
Nostra Terra on 13 October 2009, the Company is pleased to announce that the two
newly discovered zones in the Boxberger A#5 Well (the "Well") have now been
swabbed and sufficient oil has been extracted to determine that the Well will be
commercially viable.
Nostra Terra anticipates
bringing the remaining wells into production using cash flow from production
operations.
Reserves will be updated in the future to reflect fieldwork and production
activities.
Nostra Terra currently holds a 75% working interest before payout and 50% after
payout of the Boxberger wells in Russell County, Kansas. Hewitt Petroleum, Inc.
(HPI) holds the remaining interest.
"We are happy to have our first well coming into production and look forward to
bringing on additional wells soon after," said Matt Lofgran, CEO of Nostra
Terra...
So why the first RNS?
The possibility that new oil had been discovered by NTOG was already in the public domain.
That PIs and others would invest hoping to profit by that discovery, was
obvious as was the consequent SP gain.
Was the "no reason" RNS attempting to put a dampner on the SP because the new discovery was trivial compared with the SP gain?
Or was it trying to keep the SP down for some covert reason?
Or was it required to issue the RNS by the mkt regulators?
Any thought anyone
FWIW I re-invested on Friday but DYOR

Another great NTOG RNS
But how can some make large buys b4 the open
Quote:
2 November 2009
Nostra Terra is pleased to announce the results of the Bloom reserves report.
The Company's Bloom property and wells are located in the Chase-Silica Field.
This field has in the past produced over 280,000,000 barrels of oil since its
discovery in 1930. Highlights of the recent reserve summary on the wells, in
which NTOG has a 50% working interest, include:
2,260,800 BBLS oil potential gross proved reserves (projected net
attributable reserves to NTOG's working interest of 1,019,290 BBLS);
1,096 MMCF gas potential gross proved reserves (projected net attributable
reserves to NTOG's working interest of 494 MMCF);
the report excludes any probable and possible reserves; and
the present value of the property attributable to NTOG, at a 10% discount
factor, is US$ 23,775,570 (based on oil @ US$70.00 per barrel and gas @ US$4.50
per MCF).
"The results of the reserves report on the Bloom property more than double our
current reserve base while providing a great opportunity for cash flow for the
Company,' said Matt Lofgran, CEO of Nostra Terra. "The increase in reserve base
should also provide the Company with a more diversified portfolio of production
assets in the future."

Good morning desmondo
As previously mentioned tiny oily investmenst always at risk
of being clobbered by placings
So that was my first annoyed reaction on the
NTOG rns just now
However upon re-reading I interpreted it as being ok for a SIPP so I added more at SPs down to 1.15p
which so far is looking a +ve move.
Have not added to my s/term p/f though as one of
the attractions of NTOG I had felt erroneously as it now turns out,
was that their production would self finance

Dec 15, 2009 09:00 ET
Please visit www.americanpetrohunter.com to view background information on the project as well as recent photos of drilling operations in Kansas.

lse talk of buying more acearage
At current oil and land prices, HPI sees boundless potential in the mid-continent region, particularly in the Central Kansas Uplift. The Uplift has produced billions of barrels since the 1920s. Yet the Kansas Geological Survey estimates that 60 percent of recoverable reserves remain in place. HPI currently owns leases with more than 16 million barrels of proved primary reserves (i.e., recoverable reserves in the intervals that have already been produced). These properties also have probable bypassed reserves of an equal or greater magnitude. While the reservoir theories that gave rise to such oversights are still prevalent among local producers, we have found case after case where intervals assumed to be unproductive or too hard to isolate were successfully completed. Meanwhilefor now, at leastland prices reflect the old misperception that the wildcatters of the 20s and 30s effectively depleted these fields using ancient technology and run-and-gun production methods. When only proved reserves are considered, direct lifting costs in our Uplift leases are projected to average less than $11 per barrel during the first five years, with project payouts in eight months or less.
In 2005 Wolverine Oil and Gas Corporation announced the discovery of the Covenant Field, 50 miles south of HPIs Fountain Green prospect. The initial discovery covered just the topmost layer of the Navajo Sandstone, which was estimated to hold 300-400 million BOE. Then in 2006, while drilling a salt water disposal well, Wolverine discovered a second, deeper repeated section of the Navajo formation. The enormous potential of these reservoirs prompted leading geological authority Floyd Moulton to declare Central Utah a major oil province. In 2007 Wolverine announced its second discovery, the mammoth Providence Field 18 miles north of Covenant. Wolverines geologists are on record as saying that Providence, with three stacked Navajo zones, may be as much 5 times larger than Covenant. HPIs Fountain Green properties encompass a three mile wide, 11 mile long stretch of the Gunnison Thrustthe same trend as Covenant and Providence. Two-D seismic, gravity mapping and geochemical anomalies confirm that Fountain Greens geology is analogous to that of the Providence Field

The Central Kansas Uplift has been the largest producing region in the state, responsible for over two billion barrels of production from several formationsand it is HPI's principal area of interest in the mid-continent. The region has been produced since the 1920s almost exclusively with antiquated methods that have left a majority of reserves in place. The fields in this region are ideal for high-volume fluid production using electric submersible pumps and salt water disposal wellsa widely used technique that has yet to be fully embraced in Kansas. The Uplift fields contain a number of promising secondary targets with both oil and gas. These productive intervals were bypassed at a time when oil prices were very low, drilling opportunities abundant (creating high opportunity costs), technology and infrastructure were rudimentary, and reservoir engineering was in its infancy. Several of the gas zones on HPI leases also include commercial quantities of Helium, worth roughly twenty to thirty times the per-MCF price of natural gas. New on-site gas separation technology makes Helium an attractive profit center in the years ahead.
The Nemaha Ridge of Oklahoma and Kansas has been a prolific oil-producing region since the 1920s. This is the region where Hewitt perfected his high volume production and dewatering techniques in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The region has significant proved gas reserves. However, due to low gas prices, the desire for water free completions and limited pipeline access, a large share of gas discoveries were never produced. HPI has built a 14.5 mile pipeline that will allow much of the long-stranded gas on its leases, as well as adjacent properties, to be brought to market. In addition to the proved reserves in HPI's redevelopment plans, HPI has also discovered a new oil and gas field with several million potential barrels of oil
The Sedgwick Basin lies between the Nemaha Ridge, and the Central Kansas Uplift. It is in the middle of the large oil migration pathways that helped fill the reservoirs of Kansas. HPI has acquired fields in this region that are amenable to high volume production methodologies. These fields also have numerous stacked pay formations that give them significant upside potential

GET READY FOR A BIG RISE WORD IS OUT FALSE EMAIL ALL IS WELL A poster received an e-mail some time early p.m. which has since been taken off this bb.
It stated the latest Co. news on Boxberger. Flow data would not be released until March\April 2010. The reason given was that results from the first well tested would not necessarily be representative of the multiple wells currently being tested, so it would be misleading to release the first set of data prematurely. Hence a further delay. Words to that effect, ending Thank you for being a shareholder.
Could the person who got the original reply re-post it or at least confirm that information.

maytrees e-mails from ml/ceoFrank,
I can't comment on specific timing. I do think lack of news coupled with seeds of doubt planted by posters on message boards is having an effect on the share price, but this is only my opinion. A bigger pump is to move more volume in general, this includes oil and water. The shares from the placement are in the hands of the various partied who participated. I do not know if they have sold or not, nor do I know their intentions. Are you planning further aquisitions?and how will they be funded?
His response:
"We are planning further aquisitions and have ample cash to fund that at this point. We are sitting on what we call a resource play.We have specific properties and larger areas we are focused on and constantly reviewing oppertunities, both with HPI and without."
I also think this is very possitive. What is your opinion?
Sorry for the shorter reply, but very busy. Feel free to email with questions any time.
Merry Christmas to you as well.
Best,
-ML

Hello Matt
Having invested into NTOG will NTOG have flow rates announced before Christmas ?
I know there is alot of hype for the next rns but do you think this has had an effect on the share price ?
Also my thinking is bigger pump's meaning more oil in the ground ? Which is great news. I look forward to hearing the flow rates. Also has the 3 million investment. Has this been traded ?
Intrested in you veiw's. Merry Xmas.
Cheer's
Frank I asked ML a couple of questions of which one was the following:
The share price seems to increase rapidly on the back of good news and then retraces itself just as fast,in order to see steady growth how would you endeaver to address this issue?
His response was
I had a similar question with a shareholder pointing out Range Resources IR approach, this was my response:
"With all due respect,Range Has been trading since 1999 (although not sure if management and IR plan has been the same) with operations in many more areas than us.I have only been leading NTOG for 6 months, and minus holding announcements i believe we've actually averaged about two RNS per month.
That being said,i do get the message that there is room for improvement and i will be doing my best to respond to that.We have a lot of activity with many more wells to be announced in the future. In addition to that we are planning on putting out a schedule that lays out all the wells we are working on with estimated time frames on each"
So in addition to appropriate news on individual wells we should be sharing a schedule, and also contemplating general updates (perhaps quartely or even monthly, but don't hold me to that). The main point is that we have a lot going on and we want to make sure everyone not only sees it,but also understands it.
Always a pleasure to speak with shareholders. If there is anything else i can help clarify please let me know.Merry christmas to you as well.Looking forward to an exciting year.
I think this is reasonably positive, what do you make of his response?Another little +ve sign is that ML has said the bigger pumps are needed for a combination of shifting more water and more oil. As I understand it, the extraction of the oil is hampered by the pressure caused by the water around it which, for want of a better description, locks the oil into the ground. If there's even more water than anticipated then it may follow that either the field is larger than thought or alternatively that the 'lock' on the oil reserves is stronger than first thought. If we do get rid of the water pressure this could result in a much stronger flow rate of oil than previous historical licence owners have managed.
Trouble is...its all just speculation...its now time for some results to reward the loyal investors for their patience and to prove that his judgement is sound.

I emailed ML to ask if he was aware of the unrest, particularly on this bb.
This was his response:
Thank you for the email. I certainly am aware of the growing unrest.
Stocks are not always reflective of the actual company. The company is doing fine and still following our original business plan.
Thank you again for the email and for being a shareholder.
Merry Christmas to you as well.

With the 2 new reserves at Boxberger do we know how much is available so to speak. I read it as double the stated so 5million approx. Do you agree.
Also put me right, Production at Bloom was due to start 4-6 weeks as of 15th nov which is about now.
The Hoffman development is or should have started production. Is news from that released by HPI or by NTOG

Credo Petroleum Updates Mid-Continent Operational Activities
Significant New Field Discovery on Central Kansas Uplift
DENVER, Sep 23, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- --License Completed for Calliope Pilot Project
Credo Petroleum Corporation /quotes/comstock/15*!cred/quotes/nls/cred (CRED 8.86, +0.01, +0.11%) , an oil and gas exploration and production company with significant assets in Central Kansas, Oklahoma and the Williston Basin, today provided an update on its Mid-Continent operational activities and for its Calliope Gas Recovery System.
Central Kansas
In Central Kansas, Credo owns a large acreage position on which it has an excellent drilling record and a significant new field discovery.
Credo currently owns 153,000 gross (75,000 net) acres located in Central Kansas (primarily on the Uplift) and is continuing to expand its acreage position. The acreage consists of about 25 blocks in which the company owns interests ranging from 12.5% to 85%. To date, 41 wells have been drilled on the acreage, of which 46% have been successfully completed as oil producers. Well depths range from 3,500 to 4,000 feet and drilling costs are moderate.
The company recently discovered a significant Lansing-Kansas City oil field on its 85% owned Lanterman prospect in Barton County. To date, four wells have been drilled, three of which were completed as producers. A fifth well is currently drilling. The field has produced 73,000 barrels of oil in about seven months. Volumetric engineering analysis based on early production data indicates that the existing wells should produce approximately 500,000 barrels of oil during both primary and secondary waterflood recovery.
Approximately 100 miles to the north in Graham County, the company recently drilled the Worcester well on its 4,700 gross acre White Anticline Prospect. The well was completed producing about 100 barrels of oil per day. The Worcester is the fifth producing well drilled on the prospect and brings the drilling success rate for the prospect to 65%. Credo owns a 12.5% interest in the prospect and up to a 47% interest in other prospects located in Graham County. Seismic and drilling are currently underway to evaluate the potential of those prospects.
James T. Huffman, Chief Executive Officer commented, "Our drilling success in Central Kansas continues to be outstanding, and the play has already made a substantial contribution to our oil production and reserves. The Kansas play is shallow and relatively inexpensive with short discovery to first production cycle times, making it an excellent complement to our deeper and longer cycle Bakken project. We are actively expanding our acreage position and expect to drill two to three wells per month during the remainder of 2009."
Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle
Credo owns approximately 75,000 gross acres along the northern portion of the Anadarko Basin of Northwest Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. The company has historically conducted an active natural gas oriented drilling program in this core operating area targeting the Morrow, Oswego and Chester formations. However, drilling for natural gas has been de-emphasized due to low natural gas prices, and the company is currently limiting natural gas drilling to wells required to protect its acreage and working interests.
The company has increased its focus on drilling for oil and on secondary oil recovery projects from waterfloods in southern Oklahoma. Credo currently owns working interests in four Deese Sand waterflood units. The most mature of these is the exceptionally successful S.E. Hewitt project which has produced 785,000 secondary barrels of oil to date, or approximately 1.75 times the primary recovery of 450,000 barrels. The production rate has continued to increase to a current rate of approximately 300 barrels of oil per day with a water cut of only 27%. Two additional wells are scheduled to be drilled in the next few months to further enhance the production rate. Ultimate secondary recovery could exceed 1.2 million barrels of oil. Credo owns a 17% working interest.
Credo also owns working interests in three other Deese Sand waterfloods located near S.E. Hewitt. These are early stage oil projects that are expected to begin responding over the next 18 to 24 months.
Calliope Gas Recovery System
Credo recently entered into a Calliope license agreement with a mid-sized independent oil and gas producer to install Calliope on a pilot project. In addition, the company is in late stage discussions with a large independent for a Calliope pilot project over a cross section of applications that will test its efficacy for a large population of wells.
The company's patented Calliope Gas Recovery system continues to achieve impressive results over a wide range of applications. Calliope's low "all in" finding and operating costs, ranging from $1.00 to $1.50 per Mcf (thousand cubic feet), make it a particularly attractive investment opportunity in today's low natural gas price environment. By any measure, these costs are far below industry averages, which in some natural gas basins exceed $4.00 to $5.00 per Mcf.
Calliope has achieved compelling results on its non-R&D, go-forward applications. For example, a group of 14 such wells were producing a total of only 88 Mcfd when Calliope was installed. Those same 14 wells have now produced an incremental 4.7 Bcfe (billion cubic feet of gas equivalent) with Calliope, and they are still producing about 1.8 MMcfd (million cubic feet per day). The 14 wells represented a substantial plugging liability before Calliope was installed. However, Calliope added estimated proved producing reserves totaling between 11 and 14 Bcf, depending on product prices. The wells are now worth tens of millions of dollars.
Management Comment
"We have successfully expanded both the breadth and volume of our drilling activities," Huffman stated. "We are very pleased with the early results of our transition to oil focused drilling. For the third quarter 2009, oil provided 42% of Credo's total production (expressed in equivalent units) compared to only 17% last year. Importantly, due to the substantial price differential between oil and natural gas, oil accounted for more than 70% of the company's revenues for the third quarter.
"Last week we announced drilling on the company's first well in the North Dakota Bakken play. Credo has made a significant commitment to that project because it is a major oil resource play that has already proven to contain enormous potential. The company now has a deep inventory of oil focused acreage and drilling projects in Kansas, North Dakota and Oklahoma which we expect to contribute significant future oil production and reserves.
"For Calliope, our ultimate goal is to strike balanced agreements that suit the needs of Calliope users, and which maximize the economic potential of this proven, proprietary technology for the benefit of our shareholders. We believe Calliope offers end users an increasingly competitive alternative for efficient, large-scale reserve additions, particularly in this environment of low natural gas prices and constrained capital markets.

Nostra Terra anticipates
bringing the remaining wells into production using cash flow from production

2,260,800 BBLS oil potential gross proved reserves (projected net
attributable reserves to NTOG's working interest of 1,019,290 BBLS);
1,096 MMCF gas potential gross proved reserves (projected net attributable
reserves to NTOG's working interest of 494 MMCF);
the report excludes any probable and possible reserves; and
the present value of the property attributable to NTOG, at a 10% discount
factor, is US$ 23,775,570 (based on oil @ US$70.00 per barrel and gas @ US$4.50

Please visit www.americanpetrohunter.com to view background information on the project as well as recent photos of drilling operations in Kansas.

lse talk of buying more acearage

Also put me right, Production at Bloom was due to start 4-6 weeks as of 15th nov which is about now.
The Hoffman development is or should have started production. Is news from that released by HPI or by NTOG

Nostra Terra anticipates
bringing the remaining wells into production using cash flow from production

2,260,800 BBLS oil potential gross proved reserves (projected net
attributable reserves to NTOG's working interest of 1,019,290 BBLS);
1,096 MMCF gas potential gross proved reserves (projected net attributable
reserves to NTOG's working interest of 494 MMCF);
the report excludes any probable and possible reserves; and
the present value of the property attributable to NTOG, at a 10% discount
factor, is US$ 23,775,570 (based on oil @ US$70.00 per barrel and gas @ US$4.50

Please visit www.americanpetrohunter.com to view background information on the project as well as recent photos of drilling operations in Kansas.

lse talk of buying more acearage

Thank you again for the email and for being a shareholder.

news is closer than peeps think Just for info,
In an email from ML I received (and posted) some time ago he advised there would be some news / an update before year end.
Now, unless he knew back then about the 3M investment there may be news imminent??
Just a thought, nothing more.

NOSTRA TERRA OIL AND GAS COMPANY PLC
("Nostra Terra", "NTOG" or the "Company")
Hoffman Well Starts Production
Update on Boxberger and Bloom Leases
8 February 2009
Nostra Terra is pleased to announce that the first well at its Hoffman lease in
Kansas, USA, (the "Well") has established production.
Hoffman
After 3 days of swabbing production rates of approximately 74 bopd have been
established. An oil purchase contract has been executed for all production at
the Hoffman lease.
The Well is Nostra Terra's initial production well on the Hoffman property.
Redevelopment of the second well at Hoffman has commenced and Nostra Terra
anticipates bringing it into production during the first quarter. The Company
has a 7.8125 per cent interest (rising to 25 per cent once the final
consideration of $275,000 has been paid) in a total of six wells on the Hoffman
property, including at least one salt water disposal well ("SWD"). The property
also includes additional leased acreage allowing for new wells to be drilled at
a later date.
Updates will be provided on reserves and production rates in the future to
reflect fieldwork and production activities.
Boxberger Lease
Further to the announcement made on 6 January, the production facility at NTOG's
first producing well at Boxberger has now been completed and the Company expects
to be able to announce production data later this quarter. Initial oil flows
were very encouraging. It was found, after running a second production test,
that a further salt water disposal well ("SWD") of higher injection capacity
would be needed to achieve the optimum results from this well. This has also
been permitted for substantial excess injection capacity to cover additional
wells on the lease and will be completed shortly.
Bloom
A completion rig is currently at work on the Bloom property. We anticipate
bringing one to two wells into production on this property this quarter.
"We are delighted to have our first well enter production and look forward to
bringing further wells into production shortly. This is just the beginning of an
exciting year," said Matt Lofgran, CEO of Nostra Terra.
The technical information in this announcement has been prepared and approved
for release by Jeremiah Burton of Hewitt Petroleum, Inc. He is a qualified
person as defined in the Note for Mining and Oil & Gas Companies, June 2009, of
the London Stock Exchange.
Further announcements on progress at the properties will be made in due course
and are available automatically by email to those who register at
www.ntog.co.uk.
