Disapeered to the pub for POG. I did own up as I was trying to get it stopped, I didnt want the fire brigade to turn up. Felt sorry for the restaurant as it was 12:30 and all the diners were chucked out.
Still waiting for repucussions

Just been for a quick diiner (its 6 hours ahead of the UK here) and a general nose around, you know those signs they have in hotels saying welcome to whoever ... normally something like welcome to Unilever or welcome to Shell, well at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo it says "Welcome to Kool and the Gang"...
I remember when they were pop stars not a corporation ..... made me smile...

LONDON (Reuters) - A large portion of Central London had to be evacuated this lunchtime after a teaboy accidentally set off a fire alarm at the bank at which he worked. At first it was thought that the alarm had been triggered by flames from the grilled Whoppers in the burger bar below the bank, but these initial concerns were allayed after the teaboy confessed to his employers and produced in evidence a Whopper of his own which was not burned.
The teaboy was last seen carrying his P45 and being chased by a machete wielding Chinese waiter into the local Job Centre.

Hello all, busy day. Jeffmack upsetting the diners, what a hoot!
#1 son has followed Spacie and flown off to India, looking for an English restaurant, no doubt. He's off backpacking with his wife for six months, then back to work. Not my style, I like to know I have a bed to sleep in before I set off.

The snowboarders have been 'doing their thing' on the Olympic 'Halfpipe' today.
Have you noticed the 'gif' for today's Google logo?

So true. I don't know about you, but I had a middling day on the market. I could do with a bit more blue to make me happier. I think I shall have sell a few dogs and reinvest the money in something better.

I was thinking about a bank. I bought a few LLOY a while back and it has made me a few bob, plus I may hold long enough to get a small divi. I'm keeping a close eye on it and have a tight stop loss. Also, it's getting close to the time of year "sell in May and go away", when some shares can be quite volatile so I want to be holding some good blue chip stocks.

Cheers Socco, Lloy doing OK with nice divi, hope the takeover materialises. Several financials around with good divis. Surprising that the blue chip money stocks pay so much!
