Views on AMINEX's potential??? (AEX)

slmchow - 17 Feb 2004 12:50

From the latest company's drilling update....17 Feb

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200402170700084897V.html

Can anyone with mining knowledge explain these terms....

What does sidetracking mean? Approx how ong will that take?
Approx. how long will it take to correct a deviated section?
Is 'crude oil in shale samples' a good indication that there is oil?
Is 'Gas-bearing porous sands being logged' a good indication that there is gas?
Basically what does logging involve ?

Any views re AEX potential??

Regards
Stephen

Greyhound,

" Does anyone know what drove AEX from 5p to 90p in 6 months in 1993?"

Best not to dwell of Russian dreams. AEX is now a different beast.

If you like oil & gas play`s Lemming Investor is for you. Authors have covered AGC, ALK, DGO, BUR, EEN, JKX, PET,and now AEX, which is already in the money. The average gain for the oil and gas companies featured is a staggering 227%. Do you know of another site offering those gains in the same sector?

The AEX report is 6 pages long, highlighting several avenues for readers to explore. Its an excellent report.

Thanks Llcom - was just wondering and suspected it was/is a different company now only I haven't followed AEX that long, but have reaped rewards with JKX, BUR, GKP etc..

No one can be more annoyed then I am. Every time it goes up i think of selling but never sold as it usually drops back the next day. This time I sold on the first day thinking that I will buy back the next day, and you now know what has happend. I am just praying it drops a little so that i can buy back all my shares.

Kaysmart,

Nightmare! :-) We'll both be watching it then.......

Hello fellow holders and potential holders.

I've held these shares since 1987 when they were called Eglinton Oil and Gas, then Eglinton Exploration and finally Aminex.
My original purchase price is the equivalent of............. 660p !!!!!!!!!

The share price collapsed in 1988/89, there was a 1 for 10 consolidation and the share price collapsed again. I suspect that the chart which shows a rise from 5p to 90p all those years ago is just an unadjusted consolidation (as I certainly don't remember such a spectacular rise ever from this Company).

For the vast majority of the last 18 years it has been a loss making non-entity of a Company.

However, at last, it has changed into what could potentially be one of the most exciting stories that anyone can invest into.

Of course a huge amount of the potential depends on the nuclear disarmament talks relating to North Korea. They are still at a very very early stage relatively speaking. A lot of things could go wrong - not least a tiny company such as Aminex being shafted by the Korean Government. However that is the risk you are taking investing in this Company.

If everything goes well then all holders will indeed make a killing. It will be a rollercoaster ride and not for the faint-hearted.

As for me...........in addition to my original purchase at 660p I have (thanks to the one and only Paul Masterson bringing it back to my attention !!) bought some this year at 9p, 11.49p, 15.25p, last Friday at 20.25p and this morning at 21.50p. The later purchases were as a result of high quality follow up information gleaned from the heavyweight investors on TMF (they know who they are !!)

An averaging down to be proud of !!!!!!!

Good luck to all.

Mono

Afternoon SWW - rather more than double the money infact. First purchases at 9p level on 4 August.

supermono 13: Thanks for the morning post; I also enjoyed reading your later one.
My inclination to sell AEX was purely subjective. I have watched all the darling stocks of this bb, including my own high flyers such as CSB, GFM & ULT blossom, and then wilt in the Autumn chill, leaving me wishing I had sold on the rise, and I feel that surely no sp can maintain such rapid growth without a pause and retraction. The only oil minnow I can find which has equalled the rise of AEX this year, is GED which has also been falling since early October, so I'm thinking let's take a healthy profit and hopefully join the likes of Bugz & Kaysmart looking to re-enter at a lower sp after the inevitable profit taking. I share your views on AEX for the long term, and should I sell, will be keen to get back aboard later.

Why the big drop after close yesterday?

TANKER - 25 Oct 2005 10:24 - 409 of 645

yes i thing we will dip before moving on.

kaysmart - 25 Oct 2005 11:33 - 410 of 645

Bugz are you watching it has started to drop, I want to get back in before it start moving up again, but it is difficult to time it correctly. Any ideas anyone???

bhunt1910 - 25 Oct 2005 11:41 - 411 of 645

Kaysmart & Bugz
L2 showing 1:4 @ 21.5 : 22 and 15k v 70k

I will let you make your own interpretation - but as I understand it - there are more sellers than buyers - so could drop a tad further yet !!

PS if you were to buy now - u can get in at 21.88

Baza

squidd - 25 Oct 2005 11:42 - 412 of 645

I'm having problems selling. Yesterday, Squaregain would accept (phantom) on-line sell orders for a max of 100k, but this morning they would only accept a max of 15k - admittedly @ 23p. Chart precedents suggest to me the're going to drop under 20p, but who knows.

Bema - 25 Oct 2005 12:13 - 413 of 645

I can't seem to get offered more than 200 in one go at the moment. (Iweb)

If everyones selling the they could at least offer me some!!!! ;o(

Bugz - 25 Oct 2005 12:14 - 414 of 645

Hiya Kaysmart.

I'm gonna wait further.

Unless more news suddenly comes out, its not going to rise much. Learnt a lesson too many times - whenever I initally want to buy and do so, the sp always drops a bit.

My target for getting back in is when it touches the low 20p mark. Its swinging hugely, meaning the traders are here in force. Learnt from SEO to let the traders trade and when it gets too low, jump aboard!

Probably wont work but I'd rather get in low (and risk it) than pay too much.

squidd - 25 Oct 2005 12:18 - 415 of 645

In case it's of help to anyone, I thought I would report after further dealings with squaregain. I was anxious to lock in profits on this one, so sold 25K @ 23p first thing this morning, and have just agreed to sell a further 200k + @21p giving an average price of 21.21p. Only time will tell if the timing was right, but meanwhile I've just about doubled my money, thanks at least in part to the excellent newsflow on this BB, and I will be looking to get back aboard AEX if an opportunity presents itself.

bhunt1910 - 25 Oct 2005 12:19 - 416 of 645

Its about to tick up

bhunt1910 - 25 Oct 2005 12:21 - 417 of 645

Now 7:7 @ 21.5 : 22.5 and 115k v 115k

all balanced

kaysmart - 25 Oct 2005 12:23 - 418 of 645

Thanks bhunt1910,
Watching trades very closely today, I am hoping it goes bellow 20p like squidd is suggesting, it may not get there today but..... You never know. I have placed an order to buy 250k @20p lets see what happens.

Bugz - 25 Oct 2005 12:24 - 419 of 645

Nice one squidd,

I think its going to take a day or so for this stock to cool down for people looking to get back aboard. After getting on at 8p-I should have stayed the course and not bailed at 18p!!

Bema - 25 Oct 2005 12:26 - 420 of 645

Just got more. Jeez, i only wanted another 2500 worth.
