Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

is RKH rapidly becoming "dead money" until 2015?

no oil production before 2015, perhaps the hope may be a take over approach if further drilling proves up reserves.

Hi Halifax,
My take, for what it's worth.
Although RKH are looking at becoming an oil producer, the facts still remain that the sp for at least the next few years will be based on their exploitations and successes as an oil explorer.
The sp will eventually reflect the success or failure of the drillings.
As yet, due to 'not being fully proven' coupled with many other possibilities, IE Argentina, World debt, Terrorism etc, the sp does not yet do so.
Once the oil quantities are proven, then most of the other problems will fade into the distance.
The one big problem will still be world debt, because although oil demand will continue to increase over production, profit margins will start to shrink, just as they have started to do over the last few weeks.
But no matter what, oil will be king for many a year yet, and companies such as Rockhopper will be courted by the big conglomerates that at the moment could buy them out from their tea and biscuit funds.
So RKH becoming 'dead money'! Me thinks not.
Greek.

It is certainly time to be in now, I did had in mind to do it yesterday, after the GAP was filled, but wanted further corfirmation, and today was right on the steady movement up since yesterday on the chart of higher highs and higher lows

That is what happens when there is a spike, most of the times the share price comeback to the level it started
50% intraday retracement what next ?............. the order book is still very strong on the bid side so expecting to move UP once is the time ( usually takes time to change such direction ).
not many buyers at the moment ( lunch time ) and the FTSE lost all the early gains so does not help, but on a very narrow spread 236.25 / 236.50p, the bid price volume is picking up by the minute and the offer side is lowering after a very small AT at that price
