Me too, and I agree, it wasn't!

Does anybody know how far Sterling has gotten i Irak (don't they drill close to DNO)?

It was announced today that at General Energy (Turkish / Canadian) company has started production i Kurdistan, close to DNO's (company from norway) oilfields, about 5 000 bpd, will increase to 20 000 bpd. (DNO is hoping on starting production in first q. 2007. http://www.na24.no/naeringsliv/article761121.ece

There has been some skepicism about the foreign oil contract i Kurdistan, but this news made the sp of DNO to increase by 9.4% today.

It's okay now Andy, equilibrium restored.

Move along there, nothing to see!

steveo - 05 Oct 2006 22:34 - 6405 of 7811

i've got a good mate called squelch!! What does that mean?

seawallwalker - 05 Oct 2006 22:38 - 6406 of 7811

I said, move along there nothing to see!

stockdog - 06 Oct 2006 00:40 - 6407 of 7811

yaroo, ouch, you rotters

With reference to the earlier 3,000,000 X trade, this is normally a very good sign. Its a cross trade, so a buy and a sell at the same time.

Generally see these large ones where a seller has weakened the price down, and someone else decides to take out the sellers holding (or some of it) and buy it off of them in an X trade.

With the supply cut off of sells, the price should start to trend upwards now, and react much better to any good news (like the ongoing drill etc..)

PapalPower - 06 Oct 2006 04:01 - 6409 of 7811

Also, from page 8 of their 2006 interim presentation (link below, PDF file Sept 06) they have an active Q4 06 on the drilling front with 1 well in process as of now.

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=SEY&Si

Green line is 200 dma
Red line is 25 dma

Shares are still a long long way down from their peak of 32 back in May.
Potential investors need to take a view as to whether current enthusiasm is well founded or if it is just the lemmings getting on board.

For myself, am moderately tempted but would then want to dump another minnow oily to avoid getting overweight in that sector - i.e. GOO or VOG or CHP (also hold BUR and TLW of the heavyweights)

Andy - 06 Oct 2006 09:21 - 6411 of 7811

PapalPower,

Yes they are currently drilling in Louisianna, and they have two or three more wells to spud before year end.

stockdog - 06 Oct 2006 10:44 - 6412 of 7811

Wow, a chart, Cynic (or at least the part of it you chose to show) - that's clever!

Andy - 06 Oct 2006 10:52 - 6413 of 7811

PapalPower,

Page 8 of this presentation shows the GOM drill programme for 2006/7.

Thanks Andy.

cynic - 06 Oct 2006 11:24 - 6415 of 7811

rarely find much point in showing charts stretching back more than 3/6 months or occasionally 1 year, as for me at least, it's usually a trend I am looking for ...... not remotely clever or informed enough to get into chart esoterics

steveo - 06 Oct 2006 15:34 - 6416 of 7811

could this be the start of an upward trend, winter coming, crude production limited by opec further cuts in the offing?, will price begin to rise again. Drilling program updates due over next 3-4 months? Interesting time ahead, Do a chart for one month next time cynic :-)

StarFrog - 06 Oct 2006 15:36 - 6417 of 7811

Do a chart for next month. LOL

cynic - 06 Oct 2006 15:46 - 6418 of 7811

perhaps i'll construct one, logging in as Sceptic or even Septic Sam .... lol!

I am not convinced that this sort of minnow is especially affected by crude prices .... It is the news or even lack of it that will propel sp

StarFrog - 06 Oct 2006 17:22 - 6419 of 7811

Interesting trade just went through. 19p on the bid yet 18p on the offer. Go figure!

share trader - 06 Oct 2006 22:16 - 6420 of 7811

the squelch would prevent this being seen..
