I hope Dave Breith knows something we don't!

3.4m read the RNS. Anyway, the shares are still going to plummet on Monday. I don't like the fact he needs all this extra working cap, suggests the TU will not be as good as many thought. Losses, acquiring more losses, extra staff and premises. Whilst the expected large contracts like the Mitie one last yr are not materializing. Oh dear.

halifax - 07 Feb 2014 17:31 - 763 of 1120

doodle the Daily Mail seems to have got it right 6p it is.

Dil - 07 Feb 2014 17:31 - 764 of 1120

Well I'm happy he's growing the company into something bigger and given his track record I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

Bit peed off that we couldn't buy some at 6p.

Balerboy - 07 Feb 2014 17:35 - 765 of 1120

transfer yr dosh to qpp dil.,.

Dil - 07 Feb 2014 17:39 - 766 of 1120

lol , happy to hold both

The "rumour" published by Geoff Foster on Tuesday morning was indeed correct. It just goes to show what an advantage these financial journalists and City jobsworths have over the rest of us. As a shareholder I'm glad about the timing of the RNS, if that had been released this morning then the herd mentality would have been diving off the cliff again, at least people have the opportunity over the weekend to read the announcement thoroughly before jumping into silly decisions.

I haven't read this announcement properly yet myself halifax, so I don't know anything about the company involved without doing some reading!

halifax - 07 Feb 2014 17:44 - 768 of 1120

doodle yes the RNS gives some numbers what shareholders really want to know is when will this quite significant acquisition pay off.

so they have just paid £10m for a loss making company, with a turnover of £10m

Lost about 700k but have made improvements and Breith see's about £3 million of synergies. Looks a bargain to me if the synergies are realised.

halifax - 07 Feb 2014 17:49 - 770 of 1120

Dil agree but as always the proof of the pudding etc

Dil - 07 Feb 2014 17:51 - 771 of 1120

Yep that's the fun of the markets halifax ... pays yer pound and takes yer chance.

I'm sure David Breith knows lots of things we don't. There is a very strong smell emanating from the various goings-on this week! Geoff Foster certainly knew something as early as Monday afternoon that we didn't - until the markets were closed today.

Well, I think that the RNS is pretty positive and at least DB has a strategy as to why the money was raised and how it's going to be used. In the short term I agree that the sp is going to take a dive, but surely that's why they are an AIM stock and not on the main index? I reckon this will fall sharply (whilst I lock in a more modest profit than hoped for) and then when the fast money sees the opportunity, they will drive the sp back up again. Question is, how low will it go before the hot money piles back in again?.....hopefully not leaving me behind!!!

This was from June 2013

He seems as though he has quite a lot on his plate and it wouldn't surprise me at all, in response to db's comment, that he probably says too much on the social network circuit, which the ever prying press would pick up on. Either that or someone on the board is leaking info without his knowledge.

kimoldfield - 08 Feb 2014 00:29 - 774 of 1120

Doodle, such is life, the PI's, the one's who usually put most of the cash into a company, are invariably the last to know about a fund raising. Why the press should get priority is beyond me; it is time things were changed. It won't happen of course!

doodlebug4 - 08 Feb 2014 10:09 - 775 of 1120

Absolutely right kimo, time things were changed. The system as it stands is open to all kinds of abuse.

doodlebug4 - 08 Feb 2014 13:10 - 776 of 1120

The COMS threads on the other side are like a zoo ( no surprise there ), everyone and their dog now has an opinion about this share, but in amongst all the utter rubbish being spouted there is the occasional good post. I thought this was a good assessment on the current state of play;

"Ivor Hunch 8 Feb'14 - 12:14 - 6586 of 6589 2 0

One of the main purposes of the stock market, be it AIM or FTSE, is for companirs to raise money for expansion by selling shares rather than by taking on bank loans. So an institutional placing well below the current price is normal and happens regularly. All this gloom and doom rubbish is getting tedious - the sp might well fall next week, but it will recover as the benefits of the acquisition filter through.
I am a big holder in Monitise which I have held for 5 years. They have issued many shares through placings over the last 5 years and the scribblers on these boards have regularly predicted the total collapse in the sp. But I bought at 19 and they are now 73p with a long way still to go.
If COMS is as well managed as MONI (and I don't know if it is) then there will be regular share placings as the company makes acquisitions and grows organically.Don't listen to the scare mongers - continue to hold COMS, maybe adding on dips, and enjoy your rewards in 3-4 years' time.
Ivor"

robstuff - 09 Feb 2014 10:56 - 777 of 1120

Sp was 5p three weeks ago. Since then nothing has changed, just words from management which hasn't been backed up with a detailed TU including the numbers. This is certain to head back to at least 6.5, maybe 6 and depending on more meat on the bones TU below 6p. If you hold and can get a decent price 1st thing tomorrow, I'd be inclined to take it.

HARRYCAT - 09 Feb 2014 13:25 - 778 of 1120

Hoping to pick up some cheap stock from weak holders rob? ;o)

doodlebug4 - 09 Feb 2014 15:49 - 779 of 1120

He's certainly not getting any of my stock !:-)

robstuff - 09 Feb 2014 19:18 - 780 of 1120

Well yes maybe, I sold at 10p as could see what was happening and was over the moon with that price, a year earlier than I thought. I won't rush in though, it could come back over several trading sessions, or even weeks. Of course I could miss the boat too, aware of that; so have kept a few. I still don't like the extra sum raised for working capital needs, suggests to me the TU could be not as super as David has lead most to believe.
