Hmmm, gym. Now theres a place I havent been to in a while. Always have good intentions of going, but I get easily sidetracked!

As for the squid, sounds good in both ways!

mickeyskint - 21 Oct 2004 15:44 - 922 of 7811

I only ever went to the gym to look at the tight bums and firm breasts and that's just the blokes. Mother-in-law did'nt get the job with HNR so joined SEY instead that's why the shares have gone up. She put the fear of God up the MM's.

A squid by xmas I'll be like a pig in do dah.

LOL

Proptrade

In'nt she just. What are you serious expectations for the price say by xmas and for Q1 & Q2. I know we joke about 1 but what do you realistically think.

gavdfc - 21 Oct 2004 20:42 - 925 of 7811

Mickey,

It's hard to put a figure on where we will be at Xmas so I wouldn't like to try. Personally think we will be significantly ahead of where we are now. Lots of drilling reports to come out of Mauritania in the next few months, as well as other operations in the GOF. Lot of activity for us over the next 12 months.

Just found this in todays Telegraph, old news re board changes, and it's not about Mickey's mother in law joining the board!

"Sterling Energy has appointed Alan Levison as an independent non-executive director and says that Nigel Quinton, has resigned as operational and technical director. Over the past 30 years Mr Levison has worked for British Gas, Chevron, Petro SA and others energy businesses."

seawallwalker - 21 Oct 2004 21:30 - 926 of 7811

Hmmmmmmmmmm..............

Here I am!

Micky 1 a share is dependant on what is found in Muaritannia.

We may joke but, I am serious.

Big finds will be mind bogglingly company changing for Sterling and; they know it!

Only God and Sterling(Fusion), know whats there within a litle, this is a gamble.

The consortium would not return if they did not believe;

So, believe!

It can only go wrong!

seawallwalker - 22 Oct 2004 08:18 - 927 of 7811

Oil sector off to a fair start, including SEY.

Lets hope this continues through the day, if it does 20p will be within our grasp!

Toast and marmalade anyone?

gavdfc - 22 Oct 2004 08:19 - 928 of 7811

Morning all. Good start to the day.

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 09:52 - 929 of 7811

morning...just had a lovely marmite and cheese panini with a double espresso macciato from starbucks. lovely. 4 quid though for a bite of brekkie is a bit annoying but with SEY starting nicely it pays for itself just a few times over!

anyway chaps, this quid by xmas speculation. my take is that we have all been around a while and need to keep our head out of the clouds and focus on the real news and prospects (all stated with the upmost respect to Team SEY). if we have a strike, i put the shares at 40 to 45p. if that is followed by a second then the shares will head steadily north. reality is that we need to prove the field and then onwards and upwards.

i really meant it when i mentioned the discovery discount, but for these to manage a quid i think we need solid results with multi well success.

my view...quid by end of Q1 2005. don't shoot me for being cautionary, i would be delighted to be wrong and see that quid by christmas.

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 10:51 - 930 of 7811

a few buyers on the pad...i bet that 200,000 seller is the rollover punter from yesterday...

seawallwalker - 22 Oct 2004 11:59 - 931 of 7811

Well proptrade.

I like your cautionary note and your taste in a good breakfast.

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 12:13 - 932 of 7811

i can but try...big miss on easyjet, i had a real fancy for them at sub 120 but missed it. bugger.

seawallwalker - 22 Oct 2004 12:22 - 933 of 7811

Mee too.

I saw it go down when I had money all tied, made some available and was waiting, like you for sub 120p.

The only time I have won is with Fusion OIl & Gas, but that was daylight robbery by the predator, Sterling Energy, I think was it's name.

Just as well things have gone from good to better otherwise I would be cross >>:-(

Win some................

seawallwalker - 22 Oct 2004 12:56 - 934 of 7811

Couple of trades gone through buy at 19p, one a very nice 320k.

Yum yum!

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 13:14 - 935 of 7811

just saw that as well...20p chaps

mickeyskint - 22 Oct 2004 13:26 - 936 of 7811

Found this on an other BB. Thought you guy's might be interested.

Badtime,
re the discussions on the other thread, i think if you are looking for the 'jewel in the crown' in terms of a long term buy and hold it is SEY.
although it has its special days in terms of share price rise(like today)i believe it is really a share that will steadily track upwards over a long period of time.
with their own wells and those acquired by the Osprey acquisition now working at full production these wells alone have at least 15 years supply of gas and this will ensure ongoing increases in profits and cash flows for many years to come.
equally important is they have no need for any further financing unlike virtually all the other smaller oil and gas cos.
the Fusion acquisition on the other hand is where free rides on other companies
r and d and capital expenditure off Mauratania will kick in commissions and royalties from the 2005/6 financial year and will lead to a quantum leap in the size of the co.this allied to their own licences off Madagasgar, stakes in Guinea Basau and other places secures the long term future of the company and will lead to SEY becoming a much bigger player in this market over the next 2 years and beyond..
they have put in place a near perfect strategy which should significantly reward patient investors.
imo,a great share to have in the non trading part of anybodys portfolio.

All points noted barry.

Hectorp - 22 Oct'04 - 09:47 - 1673 of 1676

Good post barryrog. You've prompted me into one of my rambles now.

Short term there will be glitches of course, but your case states that its a long term aquisition stock, build a holding and add on any weakness, look to 2-3 years ahead and find you have probably doubled or trebled on your investment .
meantime we do have short term resistance around 19p and this can only be broken through on further good news.
This of course is balanced by this Price of crude which I think is a spike, allow that our oil stocks are vulnerable to short term corrections when (!) the POO comes back into the $30's.
Even so, a POO of $34-38 in 2005, is hugely beneficial to profitability of all our oil stocks including SEY.
If at the end of 2005 crude is still at least $34, all our current oil stocks prices will be higher yet on this alone. and even at $34, we would still be in a 'high crude price' environment.
all IMO of course
H.

Nice bit of research ms.

I am having a sandwich sent over from last weeks packed lunch which I forgot to eat!

mickeyskint - 22 Oct 2004 13:46 - 938 of 7811

Just like the one British Railways use to sell. All curly and crusty at the edges.

MS

willfagg - 22 Oct 2004 15:33 - 939 of 7811

quite agree,(not about the curly sandwich, yeuk) think low downside with this one with massive potential.Already small profit just waiting for the good news which will have us "gushing" with happiness.....sorry

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 15:35 - 940 of 7811
