Toad in the hole and salad tonight, boys.

lostcause - 22 Oct 2004 16:11 - 942 of 7811

now that's a very good dinner. stodge with some salad. me, I prefer toad in the hole with mashed potatoes and beans. so that's stodge with more stodge and just to finish off a bit more stodge. Apple pie and custard will be perfect to round off the meal. Don't forget that my pie has apples in it. So all in all my meal will be just the same as yours, stodge with some fruit!

Mmmmmm...nothing better. i am having japanese which i normally love but now you have distracted my tastebuds!

hilary - 22 Oct 2004 16:13 - 944 of 7811

Sorry, Prop. The thought of all that raw fish does nothing whatsoever for me.

proptrade - 22 Oct 2004 16:21 - 945 of 7811

hilary - 22 Oct 2004 16:24 - 946 of 7811

I wouldn't dare ruin all of that light and crispy batter by soaking it in gravy.

:o)

Financial Mail on Sunday (Page 14 Share prices)

City sources are predicting a major deal this week for Sterling Energy. It's shares rose 1p to 18.5p last week, valuing the group at 147 million.

Sterling's chief executive Harry Wilson, has been doing the rounds of City Institutions looking for financing for a major deal.

The half-dozen banks he has seen are said to be impressed by his plans and one or more have come up with the backing to do his deal.

Sterling's main strengths lie in oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico and off west Africa, and it is in the latter that Wilson is thought to have idenitified what one source called a 'company transforming' deal.

Hil: Raw fish -- my American sushi-loving friend Susan took her son for sushi. He said "look Mom, wrigglers!" That's right, the folks at the next table were eating stuff That Was Still Moving.

Talking of still moving, I'm back in SEY.

seawallwalker - 24 Oct 2004 22:30 - 954 of 7811

Well found again Andy.

I recall a small word from Harry many moons ago concerning a company transforming deal.

It may well be in this thread if someone cares to look back over the 950 items posted!!!

Morning all. Interesting news, wonder if and what the deal will be. Should be an exciting start to the day!

seawallwalker - 25 Oct 2004 08:10 - 958 of 7811

It's 8.10am, the mid is 20p, and it's time to enjoy the ride!!!

Mean while I am off to the sea wall for a dog walk.

gavdfc - 25 Oct 2004 08:30 - 959 of 7811

Over 3m in the first 30 minutes, nice heavy volume.

Fundamentalist - 25 Oct 2004 09:16 - 960 of 7811

Rumour going around that the deal is to commercialise/part finance the Cameroon find as it is much bigger than initially expected (though if they havent drilled yet i dont know how they know this)
