Pessimism Sauce

I'm not reading through the 40 odd posts which are most likely full of tat. But let me sum up my thoughts on this comparison with gambling....
Heres why it is not gambling. If i gamble and lose, i lose all my money. With FOGL if Lolligo is a duster the value of my shares will simply depreciate, but i will still have some money. Also, they hold permits for large areas and have more planned drills. It just simply becomes a longer term holding until i get my profit.
PS my post was not targeted at anyone in particular so please do not take direct offence, i mean none!

Hi Harrycat,
You say, 'It's not a gentleman's sport!
Fully agree.
Whilst it is a fact that for every winner there needs to be a loser (more or less), I don't wish losses on anyone, but that the way of things.
Pessimism sauce,
I for one took your comments in a general sense.
Regards Greek.

while it is more or less a fact, that isn't true about shares, for pretty obvious reasons :-)

I'm sorry but if the nag you've bet on loses thats it you've lost your money, at least with shares you've not lost its just a paper loss and you've got a chance of pulling your losses back.
That's what i say when non share investor friends of mine say you might as well put your money on a horse .

Getting to FOGL and Loligo.
South Falklands 5 TCF recoverable is commercial for gas.
South Falklands 10 TCF gas recoverable is very attractive to develop - lots of profit.
Loligo is targetting 25 TCF gas recoverable on a P50 basis.

Volume is now at pathetic low levels - signaling we are now in the summer lull period across the stock market.
2nd week of August, perhaps a little before, perhaps a little later - should see money flow start to return into stocks after selling out for the summer.
When you see volumes rising across a wide range of stocks - it should be the signal for the autumn bull run to commence - in the meantime its going to be low volume and high volatility but meaning nothing - unless you are margined up.

Mr Prostate - i'm afraid you really ought to hold hands with tomasz as you seem to be both of a kind

not at all, but i'm afraid he really does get very tedious ..... he dramatically changed his tune on BOR - won't bore you with the detail but a quick scan on that thread will show you - and here he is now trying to pretend that FOGL really only need (want) gas, which again is a load of pig's slurry .... further, all his previous ravings were about how much oil FOGL were to find

cynic is always a bit bitchy when talking about stocks not owned, and all supportive and cuddly if he owns the same stock.

Prostate - as your new sobriquet suggests, yet again you are talking out of your arse, working as usual from preferred surmise and not knowledge ..... if i say i own a certain share or have traded at a given price, then that is a matter of fact and you would be very stupid (some say you are anyway) to call me a liar ..... it would be better still if the stuff you posted about this and other shares was also based on HARD FACT rather than wishful thinking, extrapolation, hypothesis, non sequitur and supposition ...... if you did so, then you just might have some credibility

Which all goes to show that f**k all of any meaningful sort is happening re this share and it would be best to put this thread (and Mrs P as she surely is) into hibernation until nearer the results of a drill (probably sometime close to Christmas).

Considering the upper targets at Loligo are most likely gas, and the lower ones probably oil - here is the result I am hoping for from the 5 targets to be drilled at Loligo.
T1 = 9 TCF recoverable gas on a P50 basis.
T1 Deep = 3.8 TCF recoverable gas on a P50 basis.
Trigg and Trigg Deep is 969 million recoverable barrels of oil - P50.
Three Bears = 1588 million recoverable barrels of oil - P50.
This gives a 4.7 bboe figure in total (4.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent, if you convert the gas to boe and add on to the oil barrels).
That result would give 12.8 TCF recoverable (well over the 5TCF recoverable minimum for economic development in the South Falklands and also well over the 10TCF level at which development becomes very attractive for gas).
On top of that for short term there would be circa 2.5 billion barrels of oil for quick development.

I'm hoping for one trillion recoverable barrels of oil - P10 (from my back garden).
Where on earth do you dream up these ridiculous figures? You're not right in the head! Lol

They are the official company estimates for Loligo reservoirs.
Try reading the Edison note - 4.7 billion recoverable barrels of oil equivalent (4.7bboe) for Loligo as P50.
