Debt and divi = Up (RMV)

hangon - 27 Feb 2009 23:59

In these troubled times bosses appear to defy gravity - restructuring saves 5m and the dividend is increased 25% ( see RNS)....yet the Company is boasting it has bought back shares - so is this divi-increase "really the effect of Buybacks?" - otherwise, what is it?
When will directors understand that buying shares destroys shareholder-value- look at the sp graph and see that in the last year almost any purchase was ruinously expensive, compared with "now" - grief this is not a right-move, rather it's a very bad-move.
