MAJOR CONTRACTS WITH PEPSICO AND WHOLE EARTH

TO SUPPLY REBAUDIOSIDE-A (REB-A*) AND EXCLUSIVE LICENSE TO MARKET REB-A UNDER THE PureVia BRAND

PEPSICO AND WHOLE EARTH INTRODUCE ALL-NATURAL, ZERO-CALORIE SWEETENER WITH PURECIRCLE-SOURCED REB-A

The Board of PureCircle announces that it has signed substantial, long-term contracts with PepsiCo and Whole Earth Sweetener Company for the supply of high purity Reb-A for use in beverages and tabletop sweeteners worldwide under the PureVia brand. In addition, PepsiCo and Whole Earth will grant PureCircle an exclusive license to market Reb-A under the PureVia brand in certain categories. PureCircle will be entitled to all profits (including sub-licensing fees) related to this exclusive licensing agreement.

PureCircle will continue to be free to sell the non-branded ingredient to all customers across all categories and geographies.

The announcement, from PepsiCo and Whole Earth Sweetener Company, states that PureVia will debut in a new nutritionally-enhanced PepsiCo beverage called 'SoBe Life,' to be launched in Latin America, starting with Peru. PureViaTM will be available initially in three SoBe Life flavour blends: Tropical-Pomegranate, Strawberry-Kiwi and Orange-Tangerine.

Meanwhile, PureVia tabletop sweetener will launch in the United States this autumn, before expanding into drink and food products around the world.

Commenting on the contract award, Magomet Malsagov, Managing Director of PureCircle, said:

'PureCircle has worked extremely hard to build a capability which can support leading food and beverage manufacturers, such as PepsiCo and Whole Earth, in bringing natural, healthy products to consumers on a worldwide basis. i made (read banked!) money from PURE in the past, which is of course no indication of the future ....nor did my post remotely suggest that this looked a red hot investment.

confess i though PURE was a US company, though probably wrong as usual ..... anyway i see the board has a pretty solid pedigree .... mind you, you could say the same about assorted banks and of course the infamous Mr Madoff

PURE has it's head office in Kuala Lumpur, but offices in New Jersey & Geneva. I would think that New Jersey is the hub of most of their commercial activity, but presumably their accounts originate in Malaysia, which allows for a certain amount of creativity.

and nowhere else does? ...... actually, you could find malaysia is as tough as s'pore, though that is not written with any knowledge other than that i beleive their laws are uk or uk-based

re:malaysian accounting - most of it carries the key provisions required under IFRS with full transition scheduled for 2012.

I must admit I expected more action this am.

Pure was formed by 2 Russian's and registered in Malaysia, they're making excellent profits with great forward projections. Finals due on the 4th March, which imo will be very positive and i can see the SP rising upto(and hopefully after?)those results with traders starting to come in for their 10%+.

You mean LGEN dont you its collapsed..

Remember they have GRAS from USA along with many other countries including
China, Japan,Swiss,Aust and N/Zealand. Acceptance expected soon in Europe and
contracts with the top world companies looks pretty solid to me, Sugar is one commodity which is rising,remember 1 spoonful of Stevia is the equivilent to a
bag of sugar.

PureCircle (LSE:PURE), the world's leading developer, producer and marketer of high-purity Rebaudioside A (Reb A), the first all-natural zero calorie sweetener, will be announcing its interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2008 on 4 March 2009. A presentation for analysts, which will include an update on general business developments, will take place that morning at 09.30 at the offices of College Hill*.

What a week in which Lgen has fallen to an all time low and the Ftse down to 3900 I wonder whats in store for Pure in 2 weeks time..?

Solid sound results mitzy and hopefully a contract win.

Im hoping for a run up to them aswell.

Its a buy I'm certain we will get 200p before the results.

Just 7 trading days to the results, we could see a lot of t10's coming in? Shame
about the poor market conditions at present which might hold back the SP,even so i'm expecting positive results to drive the company forward and as mentioned a contract or 2 won't do any harm?

Up nearlly 10%, very nice.
