Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

From the "spudding" RNS of 23 July:-

"The well is being drilled to an estimated target depth of circa 2,400 metres. Drilling operations are expected to take approximately 30 days and a further announcement will be made once drilling is completed."

I am expecting news a week later than you Greek. Your nails will be gone by then!

avsec - 12 Aug 2010 18:33 - 2270 of 6294

Cynic well done on the FOGL - I was out too late or went too early for the bounce - b/e just!

Marky

markymar - 12 Aug 2010 20:21 - 2271 of 6294

I might bring a few bottles and we can pop them open Cynic one day, I will keep my box of hankies at the ready in case we get bad news.

avsec been and had a look the only down side its only a four seated and 5 would be better when you have two young lads, maybe settle for a RANGY but a bit common round my neck of the woods.

Now Chav has good taste in cars I had to use the back door to be able to have a pint in that Very posh pub, i think Becks was there 3 weeks ago.

cynic - 12 Aug 2010 21:01 - 2272 of 6294

cynic - 12 Aug 2010 22:00 - 2275 of 6294

jealousy gets you nowhere .... clubby has buggered off with Princess, so i'll have to make do with marky .... don't let on to him though

avsec - 12 Aug 2010 22:10 - 2276 of 6294

Marky
don't worry about the cars - you need to travel on G-NOAH - I can say from personal experience it is good - very, very good.
The right transport for RKH backers

markymar - 12 Aug 2010 22:16 - 2277 of 6294

Cynic its those shaved legs give it away, i dont get down South much but if your ever up in Sunny Northumberland give me a shout.

Shame about Clubby but we still have tabaso...funny world or should i say his world and what goes on in it.

avsec plenty of leg room on there Cynic would get chucked off with his bic razor.

avsec - 12 Aug 2010 22:29 - 2278 of 6294

As my moniker indicates, I may be able to help old Cynic there! Passing thru the Borders at the end of the month on my way to stop salmon having sex in Scotland so PM me a watering hole to slake a thirst.

markymar - 13 Aug 2010 11:17 - 2279 of 6294

Hows them nails Geek, cant be long now.

greekman - 13 Aug 2010 11:28 - 2280 of 6294

Markymar,

When you say, 'can't be long now' do you mean the waiting or my nails.
But joking apart, I am still waiting patiently.

Pinched from another site. A very interesting, but long read.
Best explanation re Oil that I have ever read. Ideal for a layman.
The site has been used by many over the last few days, without problem.
Obviously up to you if you trust it.

Marky...a pint of Becks would be Posh...kids are wanting a DB9 for the school runs but may have to keep that on hold for a while longer yet.

Still haven't found anyone that has sighted the test equipment in the FI's yet.

cynic - 13 Aug 2010 15:16 - 2282 of 6294

you wouldn't even get them on the parcel shelf, let alone in the boot!
they're great to drive provided you have a resident mechanic
fascinating m'facturing procedure ..... bodywork held together by assorted grades of epoxy tape or similar
