Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

So what other options has RKH to bypass Argentina , Chile ?

Cynic....NFB only had/has the 'potential' for Zillions of Barrels till the drillbit proves it all up. Seismic points out possible traps/reservoirs for the potential size of the 'Pot of Gold' and at some time the drillbit will probably prove it up. FOGL/BOR acreage is huge should all the pieces in the Hydrocarbon Jigsaw fall into place and Sealion has proved that it has happened in the NFB.

Looks like a few are nervous about the Ernie result this morning.

Maersk Traveller will probably be calling into Port San Carlos to pick up the chains for the tow to Sealion imo.

There should be 16 ton of blue cargo some where either sitting in dock or on back of trawler if not i will stick in on my back and swim to the OG!!!

No sight of it around the dock and only squid on the Trawler decks so looks like a swimming job for you marky!

I am told again it is defo there and its foot prints have been matched up to fit.

definitely not ...... it is already known that RKH has found significant amounts of oil at Sealion, though the flowtests remain to be done ..... the weakness now is related to ernest which is an awful long way away from Sealion ..... as several have said, the chances of RKH finding commercial oil at ernest are slim - 5:1 - and if i have read correctly, one of the major parts of the exercise is to try to determine the full extent of the Sealion and attaching reservoirs - or something like that ..... marky is far more up to speed than i on these things

chav do you think that suggests ernest is a duster and OG will move on quickly to flow test sea lion.

halifax...either they are moving the kit out to the OG now for testing Ernie or they have finished drilling Ernie and are loading it onto the OG and moving to Sealion.

I would have thought that they would have shifted it out to Sealion after the move rather than clutter up the tight space on the OG whilst still at Ernie, so maybe....Xed fingers!
