I went away and had breakfast in hope this was sorted...still no joy.
I really think am needs a new platform which does not keep falling over especially in busy times...I've just taken out a small sub to ADVFN ...if these problems don't get sorted soon I will be going over there full time.
A system is only as good as its programming...if yours cannot cope you need to get rewriting pronto.

Geoff,

Re slowness. It appeared to be when I opened traders thread. All links to different threads were then very slow, a bit quicker now though. But according to several other posts it appears other areas of the site are also slow. Nothing personal, but if there is not great improvements on this site by the time my subscription is due for renewal (about 6 months so plenty of time) I'm off to pastures new. Once again, I have nothing but praise for the customer services team, which are second to none (if customer services response times had not been to it's current standard I would have canceled my subscription already). It's a shame the whole site is nowhere near up to your standard.

Greek.

No live prices on my stockwatch. Just blank grey box.

oddie - 08 Feb 2008 11:19 - 395 of 599

Level 2 + Stockwatch/Streaming price screens constantly crashing or freezing....what's going on his morning???

I thought MoneyAm had sorted themselves out...?!?!?

greekman - 08 Feb 2008 11:20 - 396 of 599

Bolshi,

Don't know if you have tried this but it's worked for me the last couple of times when I had same prob as you, even when log out back in etc did not work.
Click Turn live streaming off, then if the stockwatch None streaming is OK, go back to streaming. Strangely mine has been OK since 9am.

No streaming stockwatch

klal - 08 Feb 2008 11:23 - 398 of 599

Sorry AM, this is getting to be a rather frequent and serious problem with the live prices....please sort it out and don't lose the goodwill you've had over the years.

Bolshi - 08 Feb 2008 11:31 - 399 of 599

Greekman. Thx but still not working for me. :-(

The Other Kevin - 08 Feb 2008 11:33 - 400 of 599

Nor me but level 2 ok

Geoff(MoneyAM) - 08 Feb 2008 11:42 - 401 of 599

Greekman,

Thanks for your posts and suggestions.

Bolshi (and others who are seeing a grey box or a red cross where the stockwatch should be)

It sounds like the applet hasnt loaded correctly.

Try clicking on 'Tools' and then 'Sun Java Console'. This will pop up a java console box. Press 'x' to clear classloader cache. This will basically force your browser to reload the applet and hopefully solve the problem.

Please note that in Firefox 'Sun Java Console' will be called simply 'Java Console'.

Hope that helps and once again our apologies.

Best regards,

Geoff

Bolshi - 08 Feb 2008 12:07 - 402 of 599

Geoff. Which 'Tools'?

The Other Kevin - 08 Feb 2008 12:08 - 403 of 599

Hi Geoff

Java Console isn't where you say it should be. Using XP Pro. Any suggestions, please?

Bolshi - 08 Feb 2008 12:10 - 404 of 599

Geoff. I was using BT/Yahoo browser & couldn't find Java. Went to IE & found it there. Cleared the cache but still no joy.

Bolshi - 08 Feb 2008 12:12 - 405 of 599

Closed all down after Java cache clear out, started again & now working

Geoff(MoneyAM) - 08 Feb 2008 12:14 - 406 of 599

Bolshi,

glad to hear its sorted for you.

The Other Kevin,

Best regards,

Geoff
