Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

I still hold RRL & SOLO - but as posted at the time, they are free shares having taken profits on the way up. ULVR looking strong today.

Sadly it is probably lethargy that makes me reluctant to move but having been in since the 37p days I'm still just in profit. I shall have another cold Efes beer here in Almaty, KZ where the temp is 39*C and try to make the right decision. Hang on I've just made it - another beer!

Been dumping a few shares at a loss, and picked up some AFR and RRL at silly prices....won't buy any RKH as hold plenty as it is...

Not grasping this. How has this company lost this percentage of the sp. With the same amount of sells as buys.

Hi Dreamcatcher,
Because the sells have been due to pure market panic, whilst the buys are due to people like myself who have just topped up thinking that the lowest of todays prices makes RKH a bargain.
Often the number of buys to sells ratio has nothing to do with the closing price, its down to what price the deals are made at.
Mind you it is down to timing as ever, as to if I made a good call to buy or have jumped in whilst there is plenty of drop left.
So a brave call or a foolish one, time as they say will tell.

Buying today will seem like good timing soon regardless of where the bottom is.....you can't guess the bottom but you can expect a strong increase from today's sp's .......say you buy 155p....it drops to 140.....but then a day later it's back at 180....who gives a damn about the 140p....you're got yourself a profit showing....

I can sit through the bad times with shares but on the spreads I'm being stuffed unless some blue turns up tomorrow morning...

I cannot see it doing so. Sorry to be so glum. This is going to be the mother of corrections.

dc, the mother of all corrections was in 2008 (DOW went down from c14000 to c6500, FTSE from c6600 to c3600), so no need to jump ship yet!

To me a correction is after a steady rise and then you have a pullback of a sort,...we have not had any rise but a hovering around 6000 and now this blinkin' dive...damn...I shall see on opening......might have to close at least one long.....blast it.....bought a few top-ups today, but there will be no more buying from me tomorrow.....have to sit through this ...
