Thanks, had this on my watchlist a while ago and saw recent drop but don't haver time to read all posts, one last question Is the fall in HNR due to any bad news in Mauritania and if so will it affect SEY?

seawallwalker - 20 Oct 2005 14:54 - 5148 of 7811

HNR bad news? = No not yet. Nothing is coming out from the Tea Ladies this drilling round. It is likely down to Institutioins thining their exposure in Oz as reported by 618 on TMF.

The Tevet 2 Deep TD is due tomorrow, with wire lines Friday and Monday so expect something Tuesday.

Will it affect SEY?

With a free carry you would not think so would you, but the Market has taken notice of the dusters so far (5), this is as far as I recall the last hole where Sterling will have any interest, in this drilling round Woodside start to demolish Dana and Tullow sp's next with dusters. They are driling the same rock as Tevet 2 Deep, so tomorrow may be a clue as to buy either of those imo.

Tevet 2 could equally be sucessful and of course it will have a positive effect.

Heads or tails matey?

I see proptrade is in the news.

The WI are boycotting supermarkets in favour of corner shops.

Nice one prop.

"Woodside yesterday informed in its Third Quarter Report

"Chinguetti Project
The Chinguetti project remains on schedule for first oil in February 2006. The 'Berge Helene' FPSO left the quayside for anchorage off Singapore on 28 September 2005 before its departure for Mauritania in early October 2005.

Tev-2
The Tev-2 well is currently drilling. It is located in the Mauritania PSC Area B is about 2.5 kilometres south of the Tev-1 oil discovery well. Tev-2 is a combined appraisal and exploration well to appraise the Tev discovery and target a deeper exploration prospect beneath the Tevet Miocene reservoir. To date the Miocene reservoir has been penetrated and while the well intersected a gross gas interval of approximately 1.5 metres above a gross oil interval of approximately 37 metres, the amount of reservoir sand was less than expected. The planned total depth of the well is approximately 3,965 metres.""

seawallwalker - 24 Oct 2005 17:24 - 5158 of 7811

No point really, can't see anything anywhere.................

Wilma missed, low volume, could be another shake out of weak holders, then again, no idea really.

If nothing surfaces tomorrow, top up time again.

All imo etc.........

"With a successful Chinguetti Development drilling campaign
completed, Hardman is now involved in a multi-well
exploration and appraisal campaign, with a rig likely to be on
contract for drilling in Mauritania until at least the end
of 2007."...

..."The Chinguetti oil field is a salt induced anticline with
considerable vertical relief, and several faulted
compartments. Fluid contacts established by development
wells have confirmed expectations of average oil columns in
each fault block of about 300 metres
."...

The above from the Hardman Annual Report.

Should have gone up today, not down. The oil, appreas well above expectations for Chinguetti.............. I'll try for the olod figures but this looks like a rise in reserves for Chinguetti.(618TMF)

proptrade - 24 Oct 2005 17:30 - 5161 of 7811

seawallwalker - 24 Oct 2005 17:33 - 5162 of 7811

seawallwalker - 24 Oct 2005 17:36 - 5163 of 7811

Iffy larger than usual trades at the end, all buys and the price dropping.

Even more sussy.

proptrade - 24 Oct 2005 17:38 - 5164 of 7811

seawallwalker - 24 Oct 2005 18:00 - 5166 of 7811

You and me too, even a penny adds to profit prop.

I think a lot of small holders are being shaken out here and as you see from the trades, the shares are being bought in lumps of 100k plus.

I dont have level 2 but with Money I was able to investigate better who the major holders were and how much stock they had.

I am aware that currently around 40% is held and not available for retail, unless the Hedge funds sell out of course, but would they do that at a tremedous loss?

I suppose it has been known, but with Chinguetti producing 75000 boo per day, at $50 which gives Sterling $5.75 just from the Premier deal alone per barrel, you work it out what they get in a year.

Surmise that the Mauritanian Government are paying a miminmum of the same as Premier, and see why the stock will be gobbled up.

Hardman are saying the field will peak produce in 18 months and then carry of for 15years.

Add Tiof if it happens and Tevet if that happens, plus Banda and I really can not see how this can fail.

Unless someone knows sometging different.

I would put cash figures in for you before tax, but I am wondering if my calculator is being too generous.
