Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Slightly more sombre note on that one.
I read that over 100,000 people calim incapacity benefit as they are unable to work, due to either drug or alcohol addiction.
What will the DSS do when every smoker in the country claims they are unable to work due to nicotine addiction, because they cannot smoke at work?????

I may just try it -
The system is corrupt - a few years ago I applied for a council house and scored, on their system, NIL points. Why? because im white, work, not additcted to drugs, and im not an immigrant.
I was told id have to change my status to gain more points.
I am now working towards my addiction to beer and wine in an attempt to be housed.

No problem ,just fly out to any East European Country ,ditch your passport and come home in the back of a lorry , (don't speak english when you get found),, you'll have a new addidas track suite the day you arrive ,a mobile phone within the week ,plenty of beer money ,and a house within a month. Ok you'll be a Chav ,but you won't have to lift a finger.

Is your baby teething Bosley? Happy days, brings back memories.......all that crying and screaming, then peace until the teenage stage....all that crying and screaming plus sudden fast emptying of wallet. Wouldn't change any of it though!

UNDERWEAR IS IMPORTANT
Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle...
From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who
drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot.
The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot.
The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car.
On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis.
Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones.
Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place.
On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by.
The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead

I don't know who is responsible for the prices on the stock market, but they are making a right bloody mess of it.
Good companies, like the ones I'm in are going down, while absolute rubbish (which of course I am not invested in) are rising!! How stupid are they??
Complete amateurs. Get someone in who knows what they are doing.

Back on two of my favourite themes. Smoking and inherent stupidity.
Yesterday my daughter was thrown from her horse and an ambulance was called. In the end it was not serious and she was allowed home, but we had to endure several hours at the local hospital, set in enormous grounds. Of course as a parent, i was worried for her state, and (as any smoker will testify) I needed a ciggy. The grounds were full of these silly posters saying that in the open air, If I had a cig, I would be killing millions of babies through second hand smoke and making the entire planet uninhabitable, therefore if I lit up, I would be whipped to within an inch of my life and deported to a backward African nation.
Earlier in the week it was reported on our local radio that a local high school were tackling the issue of pupils smoking by allowing it in certain areas of the playground, providing they had a note from their parents granting permission. This it was argued, would lead to pupils being less strung out and more able to concentrate on their school work.
Now call me Mr Silly, but surely this means we have one body preventing something that is entirely harmless (smoking in the open air) while another promotes something that is illegal (under 16's getting cigs). I would also submit, your honour, that the one place you are likely to find stressed out people is in a hospital, rather than a school.
Time for the plane to somewhere that demonstrates a modicum of common sense. Anyone joining me??
