Lets keep focused here please.

We don't know for sure what the excitement is all about.

We will evenually know, but for now, things are still looking very rosey in our garden, and lunch time is approaching fast.

Enjoy the days glow people!!

2m more buys than sells currently. Where do the MM's get their stock from when this kind of thing happens I wonder?

Doubled first thing and hoping for great things.

Good luck all.

stock comes from the box (ie they have to be able to borrow or have access through permissioned client accounts or stock borrow). typically with the big firms a nice liquid stock like SEY is no problem. The MM should be comfortable in a few million long or short. obviously with news in the offing they may walk the stock up a little more to flush out a few sellers.

As for food wise, johnwest salmon on whole grain bread.

seawallwalker - 25 Oct 2004 13:59 - 987 of 7811

dave, that was my gambit for EZJ and look where that got me!

18p would be nice but I think thatmay have gone for some time, may be forever.

I will let you know if the bottom range is approached again and what it is give or take........

Why is John West on you shortlist of next 5 investments?

Something to do with red or pink??

Or do you mean the bread?

seawallwalker - 25 Oct 2004 14:02 - 988 of 7811

Take it from the trades there may be a shortage of this stock, (and i do not mean it is running out), see the sell price?

Methinks the shake is going on to make more available you were talking about earlier proptrade.

daves dazzlers - 25 Oct 2004 14:04 - 989 of 7811

Nice 1 sw red of course, pink is for the girls.
I will pop by every day,,to see where we are, good luck all.

15p - in your dreams mate - those levels are gone for good - may be a small pullback to 18p but unlikely to go lower with the constant stream of positive newsflow

daves dazzlers - 25 Oct 2004 14:24 - 991 of 7811

Welcome to the thread Dave. Snippet from Bloomberg.com:

"Sterling Energy Plc (SEY LN) rose 1.75 pence, or 9.5 percent, to 20.25 pence. The oil and gas explorer said it's in ``advanced'' talks about a West African investment."

I like the part about advanced talks. The part about the investment is interesting as we don't know what type of investment. More acreage, drilling on our own or an acquisition. Since the RNS stated "West African Investment", an acquisition of a company would have to be of a company with strong West African assets would it not? How about Roc oil, just a thought.

The link below shows Roc's Mauritanian assets -

http://www.rocoil.com.au/Pages/World_Map/Mauritania/mauritania.html

Also Roc's Angolan assets -

http://www.rocoil.com.au/Pages/World_Map/Angola/angola.html

And in Equatoria Guinea -

http://www.rocoil.com.au/Pages/World_Map/Equatorial_Guinea/equatorial-guinea.html

Of course, all of this is just some thoughts of mine, who knows what could happen!
