Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Worst year i have ever had is anyone making money in these markets?
Sold something at a loss and picked up a few AFR.....at a silly price below 120p.....incredible....and here I'm hanging in...just.....sick as a parrot to put it....
hey dreamboat; you know i don't like to to tease you (much!), but what did i tell about rrl? ...... i'm afraid this is now baby and bathwater time ..... the only stock that i hold that has continued to perform really well in this carnage is VOD, and for good reason - e.g. defensive stock; good yield; excellent outlook and forecast
Am locked in on quiet a few shares at present, what funds i have sitting there i have not a clue what to buy as i dont see where the botton is....its a bloody blood bath out there.
Sadly it is probably lethargy that makes me reluctant to move but having been in since the 37p days I'm still just in profit. I shall have another cold Efes beer here in Almaty, KZ where the temp is 39*C and try to make the right decision. Hang on I've just made it - another beer!
