NIGHTHAWK 6 BAGGER ON DEBUT. (HAWK)

oilyrag - 12 Mar 2007 07:10

Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.

As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

i know C of J was a film title about a Calcutta slum of that name ..... whether or not that was just an ironic tag attached by the producer i do not know

gnashlevel2 - 06 May 2009 08:45 - 927 of 1373

Lots of anticipation the sale news will lead to a very strong lift in the sp.

gnashlevel2 - 06 May 2009 21:59 - 928 of 1373

You out there cynic? Maybe 1 next few days, no joke, get back in if you can asap

cynic - 07 May 2009 09:19 - 929 of 1373

hi toothless-one ...... as i sit overlooking the indian ocean, i am contemplating exactly that, though i am also endeavouring to be prudent as it is very easy to get carried away when things are going well

Balerboy - 07 May 2009 09:37 - 930 of 1373

Be sure to put plenty of sun lotion on the bald spot, or you might have a rash moment.........

silvermede - 07 May 2009 10:27 - 931 of 1373

Taking a break (albeit a busman's one) can allow one to stand back and look at the bigger picture, reflect and come to better decisions, so what should we do cynic?? :-)

cynic - 07 May 2009 10:30 - 932 of 1373

have a large rum punch!

silvermede - 08 May 2009 08:29 - 933 of 1373

Good call, my sentiments entirely, so here's to HAWK. Cheers!

gnashlevel2 - 08 May 2009 15:57 - 934 of 1373

Oilbarrel.com strongly tipping Hawk with an excellent write-up (free registration site)

Couple of other sites too rating a buy - did you see the ShareCrazy video tip? Hear the response to the (imho) bizarre Telegraph sell advice LOL "..the git at the Telegraph" indeed -and also a "dimbo" by another tipster's response LOL

Also favourably tipped by HArgreaves Lands today (I'm not a client)

Strong ShareCrazy tip now too.

As McCrirrick would say, GET ON!!

Good luck those invested, time for some smiles at last very soon. How's the sun cynic?

halifax - 08 May 2009 16:04 - 935 of 1373

gnashlevel2 thanks for the ramp but how much is 20% of Jolly Ranch worth- why the delay in telling us?

gnashlevel2 - 08 May 2009 16:05 - 936 of 1373

Who knows? But given the Cisco project alone is worth more than the meerkat cap I am happy enough to keep adding. Ramp? Me? Deramp? You?

required field - 08 May 2009 16:08 - 937 of 1373

I used to like this share but what worries me now is the valuation : 100 million with only 1000 barrels per day.....when compared to Afren it is starting to look paltry with a market cap of 180 million....AFR drill a well they will get 10000 barrels per day, HAWK drill they get 100.

halifax - 08 May 2009 16:10 - 938 of 1373

rf so how much is 20% of Jolly Ranch worth don't keep us in suspense.

required field - 08 May 2009 16:12 - 939 of 1373

Oh crumbs !, now you're asking...my calculations are pretty rough....no idea !.

gnashlevel2 - 08 May 2009 16:16 - 940 of 1373

So why is Hawk currently doing way better than AFR?

Yes, that's right, some people do their homework rf, which your reply shows you have not.

required field - 08 May 2009 16:21 - 941 of 1373

AFR will climb...as long as crude doesn't drop....HAWK is on the rise but I'm not so convinced as a few years ago : I mean do you think that this is worth 100 million pounds ?, the sp might carry on rising but watch out for sudden shorters like EK possibly waiting in the wings !.

gnashlevel2 - 08 May 2009 16:40 - 942 of 1373

rf...that's 3 posts of tosh mate! Your are out of Hawk fine, but make an effort for your deramps, you'll be warning us about demons next. Have a good weekend. ;-)

required field - 08 May 2009 16:44 - 943 of 1373

If it keeps on climbing I might come back in....we are all in the same boat here....it's just that Money Am valuation....that's probably the total value of what's in the ground (if you're lucky) , now if you value what Heritage or Afren have : there is no contest !.

OPTERMISTIC - 08 May 2009 20:41 - 944 of 1373

A nice rise here today upto 46p i am hoping these will break 60p
sooner than later.

cynic - 09 May 2009 12:15 - 945 of 1373

rf ..... i happen to hold both AFR and HAWK (been out and now back in) ...... i think you're absolutely right and at least AFR look to have found a bonanza, whereas HAWK only has the odd tin-can-full

and before others ask, i am in HAWK because sp is rising which, like it or not, is as good a reason as any
